People are such fukking *******s these days brahs

What the fukk happened to loyalty and friendship these days?

I moved into a new apartment a few months ago. Invited my bros over a few times. Nobody ever brought a single beer or a piece of food into my place. I would always have the fridge stacked with beer and food and they would never say even "thank you" for anything. A couple of weeks ago I ordered UFC 200 and decided to invite by bros (literally my brothers). They asked me if I ordered it on my own and I said "of course". None of them chipped in or anything or brought anything with them to my place. They just stopped by, drank the beers, ate, and left. It would've been a nice gesture of them to at least bring a few beers in or chip in for the even but NOTHING. Is this what people have come down to nowadays? Am I the only one dealing with this chit?

If you revolve your friendship around beer, then it's probably you that's the problem and not them. Just because you do good for others doesn't mean you should expect anything back in return. Be generous for the sake of people a generous person.

If it happened once then i would brush it off, but if its multiple times like you said, I would have instructed them to bring their own shyt. You can politely ask them to bring some food. But yes, your point still stands that people are inconsiderate these days. Not many "team players" out there. Everyone looks out for themselves for the most part.

Always man. I feel like it's an insult if I go over someone's house and don't bring anything. Even a bag of pretzels.

Do you not have a good enough relationship with your brothers to say something to them? They need to know it's BS.

Perfect example. I bought 3 VIP tickets to the NY Pro a few weeks ago. I invited my brother and my buddy who are into lifting n chit. Bought a case of beers and a couple pizza pies before heading out. All together this chit cost me about $400. You'd think someone would say thank you or something? Haven't heard from my buddy since.

You're a classic example of a ******* who seeks validation from others. As mentioned before, stop expecting anything back in return.YOU'RE the one that invited them. They never asked for it.

You're not the only one bro. I used to order just about every UFC ppv for awhile. I had friends who would come over at the beginning of the ppv and leave as soon as it was over. Even though I didn't expect anyone to chip in for it, no one ever offered. One time a couple of them came over to watch the fights, but it wasn't on PPV, just free on fox. My friends thought it was a ppv and when I told them it wasn't, they immediately had a look on their face as if they were thinking "why the fuck am I even here then." One of them texted me a few months ago about the Conor/Nate fight just to ask if I was ordering it. The thing is I hadn't talked to the guy in nearly a year, and the only thing he talked to me about was whether or not I was buying it.

Unfortunately some people are only friends when it's convenient for them. Sadly these were friends I've known for 15+ years. At least I know their true colours now.

You're hosting. Therefore you should provide all the lulz, food and drinks in exchange for their graceful company and "extremely valuable time". That's 2016 bro

Don't be a *******. A "thank you" isn't much to ask for.

OP, do you make more money than these fools? If so, very possible they could resent you for it. Do they ever initiate these parties?

At 32 nobody will get REAL friends. I had 2 real close friends in Italy, 1 year and a half ago I moved to Canada and it's hard to make real friends and I'm 18.

shut the **** up, who said OP related friendship to beers?
seems to me like it happened more than once...plus, bringing beers is only a token of bromanship and bounding, nothing to do with them really wanting to drink beers
