Can confirm all the business ones except "virtual product only". I am absolutely killing it with physical products. Ya there are returns, but everything can be outsourced.
Would also add focus on sales above all else. Sounds obvious, but it's easy to get caught up in things that don't lead directly to more sales.

I used to do affiliate marketing, CPA etc. Made some decent money (for me being 17/18) at the time... then moved out, got sucked into a day job and my ambitions were crushed. Want to start again but I feel like I won't succeed. But **** working your ass off in an intensive physical job for 1.3k a month, with 300 spare after all bills... fcking chit mane.
are you a grown crack baby born in the 80's, are you the mothafuka broke in my mercedes?

I have a few friends doing physical products and they are making really good money doing that too.
Cant be assed to respond to the negative people in this thread anymore. I didnt plan on making this thread as an AMA. But pastorgains honestly has no idea what he is talking about. There are tons of marinas on the south coast of england that have boats that are $10M+ with ones that are $4000 in them. Doesnt mean you're berthed right next to it. Some of these marinas have 3000 boats in them...

It honestly makes no sense. Im spending my time trying to help people and give advice to people that arent sure, or feel stuck, or fed up of working some chitty $20K a year job that they hate, or that sucks up all their time and you are telling me that im frauding, or all my advice is bull****.
Sounds like you spent 4 years and $XXX,XXX getting some STEM degree and upset that noone will hire you and youre a barista in starbucks, who comes home to misc and rights how 'ALL STEM BRAHS GONA MAKE IT'.
I know investment banker (juniors) who are working 100-120 hours a week, that are on 50,000 at the top banks in london
I know junior doctors who after 8 years of university, who are working 100-120hours that are on 25,000
Because ive automated a lot of my stuff, im now working about 20 hours a week in total and you know what im earning roughly and go on holiday (excluding biz trips) 5-6 times a year.
I dont buy expensive clothes, except suits, shoes, bags and jackets - because I just replace them often. I still dress well though, dont have to drop tons of bucks to have style.
I dont buy expensive cars, because I really dont give a fuk about them, unless im buying one as an investment/long term, in which case it will be in a garage/warehouse and i wont touch it.
I like motorbikes though
My goal at the moment is building up my cash networth as high as possible, so that I can buy me dream house without a mortgage and retire early.
Everything else after that is irrelevent. Will just spend time with family, going on lots of vacation with them, being a good father, a good husband etc..

So I don't even know the first step to selling online, but know that its the way of the future. So where is a brah to start?
I'll just touch on some things pointed out ITT.
-MOST degrees (except stem) are worthless and can be learned on your own. I was pressured into getting a degree by my family, even though the whole time I knew I wanted to own my own business. Fast forward 5 years, I had $25k in debt and a piece of paper that says I have a general understanding of some parts of business. I then accepted a mediocre job because I had loans to pay and i fell into the trap of "getting a steady job with a paycheck and benefits."
-I would recommend ALL HS kids to just keep working chitty jobs out of HS, save up all kinds of money, until they figure out what they want to do.
-Reading is key to success. Alot of good books mentioned ITT. My must reads are: "Think and Grow Rich"- Napoleon Hill. "Unlimited Power"- Tony Robbins. "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" -Robert Kiyosaki. "The Richest Man in Babylon" -George Clason
I have read each of those books about 3 times through.
-Don't trade your time for money. I have a side personal training business that I have been doing part time for years, but I am limited to after 5pm, since I still have to work my 9-5(actual hours are 7-4:30). This means I have to work 7-8 on some days. This makes it hard as fuk to make it. I have realized that I need to stop trading my time for money. I'll never make it out of the rat race.

I don't know why some of you guys are bitter with OP's responses. As a STEM major admitting this, most self made millionaires and higher have never been to school. As an overly educated engineer sometimes I over complicate things can't see the simple solution in front of me. Sometimes I wish I could undo some learning lol.

Good but generic advise. Considering the lack of proof by OP, I understand why some are "negative" towards him... Especially when he's posting chit like "education is a waste of time." Please gtfo with that rubbish.
Good luck retiring young though.

What about the average brah who goes to college, works a mediocre 50K a year job and just wants to cruise control, live life, not worry too much about excess money but just enough to scoot by, have a nice vacation once a year, and retire. You make it sound like I have to be a CEO or start my own business to do Decent in life
Currently killing myself working a 10/10 labor intensive job making 10$ an hour over the summer that I don't want to and hate, but if I quit I couldn't pay for school. then school in the semester +15 hours of 7.75$ pay. Minimal financial support = my bank account is always close to or less than 1K, prob gonna come out of school 50K in debt at the age of 23 no family to help pay when most of my brahs parents are paying
~100% of their education and saving mad stacks of money while they get a free education (srs)
I'm also interested in getting into investing, but with what little money I have to spare (a few hundred dollars if that currently) I don't even know where to start investing, preferably low risk because I can't afford to lose it ATM.
Sorry if similar questions, I haven't read full thread yet

For brahs wanting to learn how to code use freecodecamp.com
Good thread op. The secret to success is to never stop learning. There are so many ways to make money that most people have never heard of. Instead of shooting for the stars start small. Make small goals that can be achieved with some effort and keep adding on those goals until you get to where you want to be.

Genuinely curious about investing. Might invest 50% of my summer job's earning into something since I'm only 18 and I don't need the money for much. Is there a guide to the basics?

I'm just trying to give advice to someone who wants to start a business, or wants to work for themselves, or has money problems now, or high job stress that there are alternatives.
Dont bother investing until you have more money. IME you will need to do high-risk investment to make it worthwhile and the risk of losing what little you do have could really fuk you up. Just keep trying to save, or paying off your debts if the interest rates are high.

From experience though, there isnt much money in actually building websites. there is a lot of money to be made in digital marketing, social marketing, ecommerce websites, building custom CRMs or CMS and reselling, email marketing solutions etc.. but in actual website design - not really that profitable tbh. I would never recomend anyone to go into the business of website design.
Being able to design your own website though for selling, will save you a bunch of money and time - its a good thing to know how to do.

Could you recommend some other ways to have multiple streams of income so I don't Rely on my trading hours for a paycheck way? Affiliate marketing sounds like a good deal but wouldn't you have to have some sort of high traffic blog/YouTube/website to promote, etc?

Quickly looking over the thread Lex and I assume you have your own consulting company? Don't want to call out your niche but I'm guessing its digitally based -- related to driving traffic to other websites? I agree with website building, unless you're a UX / UI developer working for a big company Web Design isn't a secure or hugely profitable business to be in. I'm currently breaking into the Ad industry -- sort of floating around having my own company to trying to get in with a big agency. Always wanted to have my own company though, I know I'd work better and be happy (given the situation was appropriate).

For those who are young and looking for investment advice.
If you're starting retirement saving (which you should ASAP) put you're first 10k into an index fund that follows the market.
aka $SPY or other mutual funds/ETFs that have low expense ratios under .10% each year. Dividends are also key.

Do you recommend learning programming? Always been mildly curious. Just installed linux on my laptop, may start looking into it.
It's consistency. It's like building a house. Everyday I'm putting a brick on my wall.

Even if frauding he summarised about 10 "award winning" self help books, saving you in the region of $300 (if you're dumb enough to buy them at RRP)

Why is the misc obsessed with self improvement?
is almost as if all miscers were screwed up by default before coming here, and the misc awared/red pilled them about how inferior or how their lives were lacking when compared to the ideal portrayed by society, and now they are all on a massive self improvement journey with the hope that once they complete all those areas where they are supposedly lacking, they will finally be accepted, loved, appreciated, respected, admired by other people and reach happiness. They will finally experience all they missed when younger.
I know this happened to me, before discovering the misc many years ago, I used to be a happy video gamer geek, didn't even lift, was bullied, an outsider, never was popular, never bothered or was preoccupied with looking aesthetic or fashionable, never really cared if people accepted my lifestyle or choices, never felt embarrassed about my life or felt that I was lacking something, it was only when I discovered the misc, where I realized how my life was lacking when compared to the ideal, and just like most miscers, I decided to "improve" myself, and I'm still trying to reach that ideal, that manly alpha man with aesthetic physique, perfect set of clothes, hobbies, friends, choices, etc.
I suppose is all because I seek validation and acceptance, as most of you. There are many kids who are the opposite of what the misc pursues, yet they live happy lives, without giving a crap what people think, even if they are nerds, collect ponnies, fedoras, neckbeards, they just live their lives and be happy doing what makes them happy, instead of trying to mold yourself so you fit in to the ideal
That makes you a poser and more insecure than the fedora wearing geek who simply lives his life doing what he loves.

If you're below an 8 in looks, make sure to get plastic surgery in Korea when you turn 18. It's better to get it done young so you can reap the benefits immediately.
