All 3 of mine are into music and sports. I love taking them to practice and tournaments. They are always down to do anything a son would do.

Would have more kids if I had more time and money.

Love her. She is your kid afterall. Guide her, especially at a young age. Teach her about good morals and civility and to also always love and respect others who are good to her. The world has too many negative people in it..raise someone who is positive.
Teach her life is a journey, and to enjoy the road ahead.

Regarding her dating/ boys...there is no doubt that there will be a time in her life that she will be looking for a boyfriend or looking for sex/ companionship/ feelings/ whatever. You can't control her, all you can do is to guide her and to advice her to be smart and responsible. Such is life.

As long as you live in North America the chances of your daughter turning out to be a sloot is quite high. You'll be contending with her school environment, friends, and Western society by and large, which teach girls to "sloot it up" so I don't see you having a good chance of winning.

Anyhow good luck to you sir.

my daughter is only four - but the best advice I have received so far is to make sure you have the type of relationship where your daughter is never scared to come to you with a problem. That seems to be where they go down the wrong path.

This book explains it much better than I will be able to

I've already told my 6 yr old daughter that she's living with mommy forever and she's not dating til she's 40. Also told my husband it's his job to keep her off the pole.

Seriously, it's all about having a trusting relationship with her, like others have said. I've already been trying to be more of the type of parent that my kids can talk to aboutanything.

I'm going to jump in here and put my $.02 in. I helped raise my ex's daughters from 3 and 5 for 6 years. The biggest thing that you can do is work to instill confidence in her as her own person. Kids nowadays are overly critical of each other and pick on each other, which can make their self worth go down. Make your daughter feel like she's loved no matter what, stay firm in disciplining her without going overboard and make sure that even though you have to be tough on her as a dad that's your job but you will always be there for her. If you can make her comfortable and confident in her own skin, she won't be prone to doing the foolish things that some teenage girls do but you have the walk the line of not being too strict so she doesn't rebel completely. Let her know it's ok to be HER and doesn't have to be like the other children.
