Drinking kills me . . . because old.

Still trying to decide if I want to drop a c-note on one of those holsters. Decisions, decisions. Also thinking about grabbing a laptop on sale from Costco since this one is having issues. Probably not worth trying to fix for the money and hassle. So there's more cash I wasn't planning to spend. Good thing bonuses should be coming next month.

Imo two things which are necessary for a computer.

External hard drive and back up files. When the computer starts acting buggy remove hard drive and reformat.

Works err time

Gettin old is a btch, ever since I started getting 2 day hangovers in my early 30's I've had to peel my drinking back. A buddy and I used to drink a bottle of Jose, Jack, or Jim and stay out until 2 and then work construction all day the next day and be fine.

I hear that. In college, I could literally do almost anything and be fine by noon the next day. Now if I really drink a lot on a Friday night, I'm still feeling like piss on Monday lol.

It's not even that it's buggy. There's just something crappy about the design of the screen and the cable for it where it makes the screen freak out and get all pixelated and funky/poor depending on what angle the screen it opened to. I had to ship it back to the manufacturer about 7 months after I bought it for another screen issue. Now I have this one.

Given the price and disposability of laptops anymore . . . just doesn't make sense to spend a dime to try and fix this--especially knowing it will probably break again. If I spend a couple hundred bucks having it repaired or trying to get parts to try it myself, that's money I could have just dumped into something new with a warranty.

ASUS . . . never again. Your computers suck.

I've always wanted to do this, but usually I just end up bashing the screen in and beating it all to **** because I have issues with my temper when it comes to tech issues.

I checked up on that AWB you posted about earlier. It had its first reading in january and that's all the furthest its gone. Talk about slow boat to china.

EDIT: This is looking to be what I thought, nothing more than token legislation. Still important to watch though.

Hopefully it's a good sign it won't go anywhere.

I also read something about the anti gun people needing to get signatures. If that's the case then it's a nice change from the way they do it in kommiefornia.

You babies need to find an alcohol that works with your body chemistry. After years of being a die-hard bourbon fan, I finally realised I can drink almost an entire handle of kraken that's like 47% ABV, then wake up four hours later with no hangover whatsoever.

Pro-tips: drink errday to keep up tolerances.
Look at the age of most of these dudes, too. If the Keith Richards it and keep it up, they might die of liver failure in their 40s or just keep trucking.

It's the dumbasses like me who just stopped cold turkey and try to imbibe like we did ten years ago who then pay the price with multi-day hangovers.

Careful. Every one of the 7 laws passed here in Cali never made it out of committee. However, the authors pulled fast ones and took bill that did make it to the floor (completely unrelated) and "gutted and amended" them into their gun control legislation.

Memories.

There were 2 places when I was in college that did something similar.

1. Dinkin' with Lincoln. $20 at the door and $0.01/beer

2. Quarter beer Nights. $10 at the door and $0.25/beer

Usually done on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

This is what we can look forward to if ****lary becomes presidente:

https://next.ft.com/content/6a84236e...4-e0bdc13c3bef

The sign the person is wearing in one picture translates as "We're dying of hunger Total Dictator" (somewhat ironic since she seems to have plenty of flab on her raised arm) which just goes to show how quickly a country, almost entirely dependent on taking some peoples' money and giving to the rest, can devolve.
