Yeah, I still don't know why they upgraded me like that. It was a fun night and I met up with another miscer at the show too who didn't get upgraded seats though. Same thing happened again at Jane's Addiction / Alice in Chains a few weeks later too. But that time it was because the show was poorly attended.

man that's sweet, what did you think of Alice in Chains without Layne? The new gentleman sounds eerily similar and I liked them when I saw them back in 07. Funny you mention upgraded seats, at that Velvet Revolver/AIC concert I went with a friend and my mom and some dude whos date stood him up gave his 9th row ticket to my mom. me and my friend took turns going to that seat, sweet concert/

I thought they sounded great. Yeah he does sound like Layne to me too. The bass was the thing I remember most though. So much bass pounding me in the chest. And I had gone to Black Sabbath the week prior (which was an awesome show) but AIC had noticeably more bass which surprised me.

This thread makes me so god damn depressed. Literally ALWAYS miss concerts I want to see either because they don't tour where I live, or I happen to be traveling when they finally do come through.

That being said,
I saw Explosions in the Sky open for Death Cab and it was amazing. Both bands are awesome live.

Zac Brown Band on the Black Out the Sun tour recently

Played their hits, new stuff, great solo's and riffs, amazing backup band and singers. Covered some cool stuff too Prince, etc. Their finale was Chicken Fried which is probably their most popular song, and the part where they talk about the soldier they brought on this marine who saluted the crowd. Will never forget that show, definitely the best vibe and music I've ever heard.

They are an incredible live band, I saw them a few years back in Oklahoma. Amazing violinist, actually unreal violinist..my jaw dropped during a cover of "the devil went down to Georgia" EDIT: I meant fiddle instead of violin....

I love how you have kept all of your ticket stubs, I have as well. Every single one in chronological order going back to 2006 in a "ticket stub" binder I found at goodwill/

My Dad took me to see Sammy with him when I was a kid lol, it was my first concert

I just remember him stopping after every song to take a shot or drink a beer

Also had some hot helpers

I think I'm gunna have to start saving tickets, it's not the same though, I usually print mine or just get them sent to my phone

I know some of my friends thought it was kind of gay back in the day but they are all loving it now. My wife went one better and had them all done up in a frame a few years ago....gotta love her.

that's sick dude, I want to build something like that one day. Yeah my friends never wanted their stubs and I was just like ok, ill take yours too ha. Also Concert shirts I collected until I hit my 20's and then I stopped for some reason, I still have all of the ones from my teenage years though. I have gotten my little bro (hes 15) into concerts and am more than happy to get him a shirt now.

well hell, you have seen some epic shows as well. When I get home I will post all of the concerts ive seen by looking at my stubs, otherwise I would miss many.

Nah, that's the amphitheater place. This was a little building close to there they had hockey games in or some sh*t. I seen Pantera there too.
