kikn- look over your boolits before you hit the range. i had 2 rounds of 9mm that were pressed in too deep.
Only fired about 5 rounds through a g21. I shoot my G19 and g17 pretty well, but I also shoot my G30 well too. Its been awhile since I shot 9 and .45 side beside doe.

considering selling my vp9LE again for like the 10th time
7-10 yards?

I was repetedly hitting a 2 liter bottle at 50 yards with my G19 and g17 yesterday.

I think the old hicks that saw me do it were impressed.

But... I am once again very disappointed with my standing open sight AK skills, or lack there of. I'm going to do something about that...

What the hell kind of man isn't operator status skill with an AK?

Damn it

For defensive applications pistols are mostly shot inside of 10 yards, and relatively quickly, stretching out to 25 sometimes but not farther very much

About a year ago I shot my G19 at around 10 yards, and put 100 rounds through a hole the size of a quarter.

Hands down, the best grouping on the firing line, but that was slow controlled shooting.

This is why I want to go off into the hills and practice shooting while moving, peering around corners and mag dumping.

Get a shot timer and do the same drill(s) over a period of time to compare to known standards and to track progress.

My only consistently done drill has been The Test, 10 yards, 10 rounds, B8, all rounds in the black to clean then scored by the rings, 10 second limit, low ready

Bests so far, only counting clean runs
G26, 5.97 seconds 97/100
G19, 6.43 seconds 98/100
FNS40, 7.39 seconds, 95/100
VP9: 6.97 seconds, 95/100

I have shot this a lot more with the Glocks than the VP9. I tried to do that "one month or 500 rounds whichever takes longer" thing with the Glock at the same time I started doing and recording this stuff. I actually need to shoot more VP9.

I did the Half Test with the VP9 which is supposed to be a little more difficult, it's the same 10 rounds at a B8 from low ready, all black to clean, but 5 yards and 5 seconds. Best of three was 4.40 seconds 99/100 clean.

The Glocks are still what I have the most time and rounds with, by far, historically, and the low bore axis is still awesome for shooting quick.

This is the 10 rounds in 4.40 seconds at 5 yards

The FBI found a 90% survival rate if you could draw your pistol and fire within 1.9 seconds. That is an eternity.
