I shot that 340 some more, .357 is not fun, but .38+P is awesome. Shot an HK45 for first time ever. Not impressed, but shot it well.

I have identical 1911s in government and commander size and I much prefer commander. Handles much better and no loss in function or reliability. Officer length has problems with dwell time and there really is no point in a 3" 1911. But 4.25" doesn't give anything up to the 5".
How do you feel eating a clen diet? I've had some people try to tell me it wasn't worth it because they love donuts and pizza too much or because they get cramps and shaky without their junk food. Right now I'm trying to lower carbs just slightly and increase cardio for the fat burn. I have a pantry of strictly clen food to jump on if I think I want to, but I haven't decided to yet.
I heard Stan Efferding once say that people have that problem when they start eating clean because junk food has a ton of salt in it. Once they start eating clean they aren't getting as much salt as they should. You probably need way more salt that you think you do, especially if you're sweating a lot.
Summited Shasta yesterday. I didn't bother getting my own normal summit pic taken since I was just up there, but I did have my pic taken on the summit with a shirt from a company of a dude I know. Anyway it was a fun climb but the snow conditions sucked. Pretty late in the season and the summit was complete bare of snow. I definitely won't climb Shasta this late again. We also had a service dog climb with us and she was awesome to have the time we spent on the mountain. Here she is taking a nap on the summit

I have those, they've been great. Yeah I get cramps and/or muscle spasms when using EC unless I am getting enough electrolytes+water.

It's held up well on the polymer AR parts with an exception of mags, but those get dinged and dropped easily so that's expected. I have Rustoleum camo colors.
Pay a few bucks for cerakote and be done with it.
Plus as everyone said - Dual's gun is not spray paint.

[IMG]http://i.imgur.com/1QSNTYv.jpg[/IG]
That's why I tell people not to buy things pre cerakoted and expect it to match. Better off buying black and having it all done at one time with one batch and you'll get a perfect match on all parts.

Speaking of cerakote, I don't know if I posted it in here or not, but screw it if I did. This is a Colt Commander we recently totally redid. This gun was one of the smoothest 1911's I've ever felt. It was 100% as it came from Colt. Owner told me he has no idea how many rounds through it but well over 10k for sure from just when he owned it.
Frame and slide were both very badly discolored, there were nicks and dings throughout the surface of the steel and whoever he bought it from drilled and tapped the slide for, I assume, a picatinny rail. The gun had seen far more better days. Owner said the gun hadn't seen much attention over the last few years so he wanted to give it some TLC and let us do whatever we wanted with the color scheme.
We tig welded the drilled and tapped holes, hand blended the welds to the slide, then blasted and prepped as we normally would.
We did tungsten slide with tungsten frame accessories and satin aluminum frame with satin aluminum slide accessories. Oh, we cerakoted the ugly wood grips armor black as well.

When are we supposed to not like the VP9 anymore? Is it time based, round count based, how long?
I just want to be ready to jump on the mags and holsters and whatever, if not gun themselves, when this mass sell-off happens.

story time, forgot to bring this up. story time
>at walmart a few weeks ago, getting fishing licenses along with other misc items
>two people at gun counter. both in ~50s, male in flannel, suspenders, a stomach probably measuring 70", and OCing some POS ruger in a velco uncle mikes holster. Women had a full blown mullet, fat as fuk, similar attire and OC setup
>the fudd gun counter guy is showing them cheapo 243 bolt action/scope packages
>fudd woman is looking through one of the guns, shouldered and trying to run the bolt like shes doing a mad minute (this was great)
>they tell the gun counter guy that they need to shoot p dogs and the 243 is too small and they need a 300 win mag
>more cringe conversation ensues that i cant really remember that was just horrible
horrible story but i hope you can just imagine how ridiculous the whole scene was
