They aren't winning in the west because they are privileged, they are winning in spite their lack of it.
Every single Asian person I've ever known has had 10x the work ethic and resolve as any other group of people.

Even then, they are still relegated to high quality drone work, while as per usual the white men stay on top CEO'ing



Sorry to say, but if our society were to "let the chips fall where they may", this country would have been Asian dominant a long time ago.

casting for a movie considers the amount of $$ the lead role will draw at the target box office.

thats why culturally asian movies, intended for asians, casts asians.

thats why culturally black movies, intended for black people, star black people.

.....same explains why indians are cast in bollywood.

so long as america is majority white and whites remain hollywoods largest target audience, you can expect majority of white casting regardless of movie setting.

its just free market. u think some greedy hollywood (((producer))) would risk losing $$ generated by a movie by making a statement with casting?

even when it looks like they are doing SJW casting, they are doing it because it generates $$, not because they are for the SJW cause.

I agree with them but not for any politically correct reasons, I'm sick of seeing the same rebooted stories and I'm sick of seeing the same like 100 actors again and again. I think it would have been awesome to have some Asian actors in this film as I'm sure there is a wealth of talent among them, it'd be great if Hollywood would allow more people to make a name for themselves.

And on the flip side of the coin, I hate it when I see non-white actors in films or TV shows which are European, when historically there wouldn't have been those people in that setting or in fantasy settings like Lord of the Rings where it's a very European-esque setting.

Both scenarios really grind my gears as I have trouble immersing myself in the film.

Hollywood films these days have been catering to the Chinese market more and more. That's why films like Transformers: Age Of Extinction had a huge plot point in it that takes place in China. But like I said, when the western public starts realizing just how racist and xenophobic the Chinese are, it's going to be fun watching how Hollywood juggles their relationship with both factions. The Chinese market is reluctant to support films that heavily feature blacks and minorities as the lead. That is one of the reasons you'll never see a black James Bond.
