Idk brah.
I was raised in a liberal household, after my time in the military I definitely consider myself a conservative.
However I do know a lot of ****head progressives who served in the military.
As aforementioned ITT, liberals are definitely more vocal. They feel the need to tell everyone their feelings on social media. I'll never argue with a liberal ever again, they will blatant disregard any facts that do not contribute to their false narrative. I definitely think liberals are on the lower end of the intelligence spectrum.

I believe there are good arguments from both sides of the aisle but if you believe in a policy/law that stems from religion, then you lose credibility (e.g. lots of conservative viewpoints, Sharia/Muslim law/govts, etc list goes on)

I associated conservatives with old, racist, southern, white people who are "conservative" because they want things to be closer to what America was in its early days (slavery, segregation, etc.) I always leaned Democrat because that's what my family was, so I was for Gore in 2000, Kerry in 2004, and even Obama in 2008.Young people are highly Impressionable and find a need to fit in. They tend to accept their surroundings and conform to other's beliefs. Everyone around them is already liberal, so it more expedient to be liberal.
When people are older and.left alone with their thoughts, they start to falter or adjust. Some become more.liberal, and some.become more right wing like me. I was pretty damn liberal at like 14-17, but I grew and became a progressive nationalist.

I still don't know everything about politics, but I definitely lean more right wing these days. Seeing videos on the internet of Trump Protesters, picket signs saying "Love trumps Hate", seeing people bully anybody who supports Donald Trump, the Republican party, or any kind of disagreement, is really annoying. They try to take the "high road" in every argument, "I love all races/religions", "we should support and help BLM", "Trump wants to start a war, I am for peace", "Guns are evil, lets remove them and be peaceful like Europe" etc. But then when Trump supporters try to have a civilized debate, Bernie/Hillary supporters (Bernie supporters especially) are yelling over you, calling you a bigot, racist, sexist, trying to physically intimidate you, etc. Some serious uncivilized chit.
Person above hit it right on the head; young people are idealists. I was when I was younger, I would've loved the idea of free college, wealth redistribution, etc. but the older I get and the more I learn about the real world, I realize it is just not practical/realistic.

Because professors tend to be libtarded, and they indoctrinate their students with their false ideology. This **** should be illegal. Math does not need a political bent. Language Arts doesn't require SJW theory. Computer Science is not improved through "inclusivity and political correctness".

Young people have nothing to lose so riding the liberal gravy train to free handouts for life sounds awesome.
Basically let the government become your parents and never have to be responsible for yourself and let someone else take care of you.

No life experience or lack of damaging life experiences + born in relatively comfortable situations + constant liberal indoctrination of schools + idealism + rose tinted glasses of youth.

Economically no college kid has a clue about the way the economy works and what higher/lower taxes feel like respective towards the economy
Socially a lot of kids now a days (including myself) were born and raised after the civil rights act, additionally the idea of suppressing anyone's individuality is considered horrendous by a lot of those who "raise" us, think the media. I still dont get all this gender fukery tho, gay rights and ethnicity/gender equality makes 100% sense but why in the fuk are we accepting of people (and being told to)accept people who want to change science because it doesnt feel right having something or an absence of something between the legs?

Those statements are much more likely to get likes and positive attention on ******** and instagram than "I believe in the second amendment (with posing with gun pics)", "immigration is a serious problem and we need to address it", "there is a worldwide terrorism problem that is spreading and make no mistake, the one common factor is Islam, and we cannot be afraid to address it", "universal healthcare and free college would be nice, but what economic effects would that have? Who would pay for it?" Its kinda like when Mom is there for comfort, to be sweet and nice, to be supporting in all your pursuits, and Dad, while he is supportive as well, has to be more of the realistic person telling you how the real world operates.

I think the current election is the embodiment of this.
I am not a Trump supporter, per se, but I will end up voting for him, simply because I despise Hillary and her blatant disrespect towards her oath of office. I do not think Trump is a flawless candidate, who'll be the savior of America. But I do think he's a breath of fresh air as opposed to the political corruption that has infested our country. Liberals love to bash Trump, it's a pretty easy thing to do, but I've noticed that they absolutely refuse to acknowledge Hillary's downfalls. I find this disturbing, they act as if she did no wrong. There are videos of her blatantly lying, and flip flopping on issues(Such as gay marriage), yet liberals seem to just turn their head.

They haven't yet had a real job, paid income taxes, paid property taxes, paid a mortgage payment, attempted to thrive in a society that's beginning to automatically despise success and productive people.
When you start to work a full time job and pay taxes you begin to realize that the liberals view you as nothing more than an ATM to fund their precious social programs and help their favorite "disadvantaged" peoples with your money.

the media and high school/colleges are all liberal, so kids these days are basically brainwashed into it. And this generation is raised to believe that you should get everything for free since they never had to work for anything in their lives.
It's only when you learn to think logically and/or have to actually work and pull your own weight that you become conservative. And let's face it, most people don't do either of those things until way too late, if ever

It has ALWAYS been that way. Or at least since the 1960s. And it is because most of their teachers led them to be that way. It isn't until one is out of school and working / living on their own that they really start to figure things out on their own rather than being influenced by their teachers and peers.
