The issue is that your fingers touch your phone, then your face. So oils, dirt, grease, etc. Likewise with steering wheels

Alas, not all of us have healthy skin - for the longest time my face was a veritable oil factory

Can someone provide cliffs and simplify things (remove products). All I want is a daily cleaner, moisturizer, and maybe a toner or exfoliater. I want to remove wrinkles in forehead and have no red spots.

Also, I hear mixed reviews about diy vitamin c serum on reddit. I have been using it for a year now and don't think it does anything. Thoughts?

Gel cleanser and BHA lotion will get you like 75% of the benefits from my regimine.
Well, also sunscreen as well

It's probably the benzoyl peroxide. It kills the bacteria which cause acne, but is also very drying. It's not a great idea to use it unless you have active breakouts. Proactiv uses it as a preventative, which will tear up your skin in the longnrun.

Proactiv also uses AHA and BHA in some of their stuff, which is what the OP recommended. You can find them everywhere without the peroxide of proactiv. That and retinols will help fade your scars. Just be sure to wear sunscreen every day.

Interesting. Nice work OP.

Personally I eat a **** ton of fruit, veggies, grains and use Coconut Oil (yes, the cooking oil). my skin is impeccable at 32. Eating enough of nature's bounty to supply your vital organs with the **** they need means there are enough nutrients left over for your skin to actually get some TLC from within.

The **** inside of living food that keeps the air and sun from destroying it will do the same work for your own body and skin. Cut out the middle man if you can and go straight to the source.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

Hey no argument from me on the virtues of coconut oil. I add that stuff to everything

Could you or OP recommend any products that is ideal for better facial skin ? The stuff in OPs suggestion seems like a lot of material and I don't know if I can find it all at a local drug store so I rather just buy brand names.

Stridex in the red box is a good chemical exfolient you can get at a CVS.

I've been getting some PM's asking for a pared-down version of the list. If you gotta make it as small as possible:

Day:
1. Cleanser
2. BHA exfoliant
3. A moisturizer with sunscreen in it (spf 30 or higher)

Night:
1. Cleanser
2. A vitamin A/retinoid cream
3. Moisturizer

So in theory you could go with just 4 products to get you 75% there in terms of aesthetics.

I quit washing my face in the shower. I've spent too much money on face products that don't work, oily skin is a son of a bitch.
I never try anything I just do it!

Prolly - the reduction in DHT means fewer hormone related outbreaks I guess

You use Derma Roller too? What size? Thinking of getting a 1.0 mm to help with the wrinkles

Also, why not use AHA and BHA at night too?

OP, help me with your knowledge, Dermobrah.

As a bald brah who has to shave his head, will this advice work for the head? I keep getting this awful rash on the back of my head for years and it flares up every now and then. I want crystal clear skin that's smooth and bump free, brah.

Also, on my face, I keep getting white heads every now and then in the exact same place... right on the edge of where my nose meets my maxilla area.

I would get a similar rash under my right jaw - like a perpetual series of razer bumps. Vitamin C and BHA lotion got rid of them like in an instant. I wish I'd figured it out sooner.
