Nobody fills a pool with river water or salt water from the local bay. Even if they did, pools have water filters, and chlorine treatment, and p/h balancing chemicals. Probably some of the safest water you could find in that city.

Honestly, the favelas in Brazil are fascinating. I wouldn't pass up a chance on visiting Brazil. I don't care how ghetto it is. I've always been interested in it since seeing the movie City of God. Amazing movie by the way.

Sound familiar? All I'm saying is that the concerns we're seeing for Rio aren't necessarily new to these types of events. But for some reason the publicity is tenfold. AKA overblown.
Overblown? Lmao they are finding bodies in the water literally days out from the opening ceremony.

See, not everything is bad in Rio.

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/20...ied-to-mug-him

"A Russian diplomat has shot and killed a Brazilian who attempted to rob him in Rio de Janeiro on the eve of the Olympics, local media reported on Thursday.

The incident occurred on the Avenida das Americas, the main thoroughfare between the Olympic Park and the city centre, at around midday on Thursday just after the torch relay had passed by the street on its way to the Olympic stadium.

According to the Globo newspaper, the vice counsul โ€“ named in reports as Marcos Cesar Feres Braga, a Brazilian lawyer who holds the vice-consul post at the Russian consulate โ€“ grappled with an assailant who tried to carjack his vehicle, believed to be a BMW X6.

The diplomat was waiting in traffic in his car with his wife and daughter when he was approached by two men, each on a motorcycle, Globo reported.

One suspect broke the driverโ€™s window with the gun and demanded the the consulโ€™s watch. But the Russian, who is trained in jiu-jitsu, grabbed the attacker, hauled him into the car and the attacker was killed with his gun. The other motorcyclist fled.

The body of assailant lay in the street for five hours, according to Sky News, as police began their investigation."

Who cares? I'm sure the athletes will wash their maggot-covered bodies at the end of the day and stick their penor inside some Brazilian HBB's.

legit lolling at the Olympics being held in such a third world dump.

I feel bad for the athletes. This is supposed to be a climax of their lifetime of training and sacrifice. Any they have to visit chithole Rio and do their best not to get raped or killed.
