What Are Your Thoughts On Life? (Deep Thinking or In General)(srs)

Misc brahs, what are your thoughts on life. How do you view life? Life in general and your own life?

I've been stuck in this mindset lately of there being all these restrictions but the more I read and the more I get out and about I am realizing how big of an idiot I am. You can literally do anything you want, within the confines of the laws, etc. You can pack up and move tomorrow if you want, you can be a street artist, you can go live in the woods, you can start your own company, you can just work at McDonalds and smoke weed, you can build a game from scratch.

I actually think that thread about the manic bipolar episode that dude had really got me thinking. Our mind is the #1 barrier between us and doing what we want and keeping us from taking risks, etc.

I feel like I always knew this, but never truly understood it. I feel like an idiot. It's almost like I have this feeling ingrained in me that you get a job, go out with friends, get married, get a house, have kids, save money, retire, and buy some things and do some stuff along the way.

That's just my little thinking for today. Want to hear some of your thoughts brahs.

most people have pre existing conditions that make their life harder or easier. like if you live in the ghetto and have chitty parents, your prolly gonna end up not as good as someone who was born rich and got connections throughout life.

some people dont admit that, but its very true.

Oh yea I definitely agree with that. You are limited by your surroundings, conditions, environment, etc. In that case you may have a harder path doing whatever you want. Money is a huge factor obviously.

But it is up to you to find a way to make it happen

yeah. like you can be in the ghetto and be dedicated on working hard and getting a full college scholarship/become successful. those people have the ultimate dedication and respect because they really worked from the bottom up and went against the odds.

the sad chit is people who never learned they can be something better than what they are now.

i think for the world to work, most people need to be on the generic track tho, like you said, go to school, get job, have kids....ect. because without that solid base of people doing that, everything else would fail.

Yep brah we pretty much always end up limiting ourselves. Really the only person who actually cares about what you do is you; no one else is actually paying attention.

I live my life one quarter mile at a time. Nothing else matters. Not the mortgage.. not the store.. not my team and all their bull****..

For those ten seconds or less, I'm free.

That is very true. Part of a machine that is necessary to work. And I agree about not everyone really being self aware of life.

And the kids that make it starting from nothing and make it are prime examples of what I have been thinking. They had a vision, an idea different than the norm, their norm, and made it happen.

Isn't that the truth. I always cared so much about what people think, especially taking a risk and failing, but then I realized the older I got.....no one really cares. Just do you. Even when I had interviews, I was afraid I would bomb and somehow that would make me less of a person, and that people thought I was an idiot. Then I realized chit there's 8 billion people in the world, no one will give a fuk by the end of the night, especially about a nobody.

And to take it a step further, when you die, that's it. All those failures and fear and all that chit means nothing within an instant. So why not take a risk and do what you want to do, cuz once you are done, you're done.

You gotta have a purpose/life goal. Once you figure that out, If you will never be unhappy if you go for it. You can do anything you want in the world, but why are you here?

^^ak1615 very true. Felt like I didn't really have a purpose or gain I can hone in on after college soccer. Sounds ridiculous, but when you work your entire life towards playing it, and it abruptly ends, I was lost.

Well, I believe everyone has a innate want to help others. You could have coached younger kids, or went to your college and helped athletes become better through your experiences. Even though the joy of playing would have been gone, the satisfaction of being involved in bettering the other athletes could have helped.

It probably doesn't sound like it could be very profitable, but that's what time management is for.
You gotta do what you love man, regardless of what anyone thinks or what it pays.

LOL you hit the nail on the head. I am a personal trainer and plan to eventually try to work with actors getting in shape for roles, or college and professional athletes.

Against what everyone has told me, there is money to be made eventually, and this is what I love to do. I do see a purpose now, and kinda why I made this thread lol. Was lost for a while though

Once you start doing what you actually enjoy, everything seems to fall into place.

Me and some buddies opened up a restaurant 3 and half years ago. Sounds like an awesome gig (and at times it was), but I was unhappy after awhile and couldn't understand why. I eventually had to take a step back and move back home. Decided to go back to school for programming/IT. I do enjoy learning programming but the main goal for me is to open a gym in the future to help former fatties like myself to get on the right track, especially younger kids.

But realistically I need a solid income to start that, so I'm learning programming.
There's a silver lining in everything brother, you just gotta see it and then attack your goals everyday until you get where you want to be.

Life in my opinion is literally like RPG games. Let's look at Fallout 4 for example. Yeah you're main goal is to find Shaun (College), but you don't have to do it right at the beginning. It's actually fun to go and do side quests (Explore the world and find out more about yourself) and then you gain more experience so when you go back to the main quest of finding Shaun (College), it's significantly easier.
I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time; never. These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American people. Thank you.

This requires finding an activity that you enjoy, which doesn't necessarily come as easily to other people.

Here's what I feel about my own life:

If I wake up, I conquer the day and do the best I can for others, at my job, for my health. I go to bed with no expectation of waking up tomorrow. If I do, I repeat.

Here's how I feel in general about life today:

We're further from our natural cores than ever. There's nothing but pain and suffering in today's world. So much unhappiness. Self created. I'm surprised the Earth still turns considering how bad we've botched this place.
Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;
Steal from the world, and not a stone
Tell where I lie.

They say life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. So why is everyone simply trying to survive? They have jobs they hate, doing what they hate, next to the mother****ers they hate too. Simply living for the weekends, but in reality... dying. It doesn't make any sense.

I think your life isn't about the titles. It isn't about making money. It isn't about the hot trophy life. Your life is about a moment to come. It is inevitable; we can't stop it from coming. Right now, we have the most valuable asset on our side, time, but it's running out. So put the emphasis on you internally on what you wanna be for who you are; that is a fire that will never burn out. So believe in yourself. Follow what your talents are, what you're passionate about, what you really love to do. Follow that course. Break the ****ing mold.

Stop being a servant, start being the master.

In relation to this, I strongly believe that higher ranked inviduals have been conditioning us through the media. I actually was a Sanders supporter, then a Trump supporter, but now as I begin to see patterns and really delve into analyzing them I have become more and more cynical of the world. Trump, Sanders, Shilllary they're all pawns, and we are mocked about our lack of knowledge through news headlines, movie plots, scripted deaths, etc. (I will make a thread about it later today or tomorrow). The world which as a kid I was so intrigued by, its people, it isn't what is presented to us on TV. I wanted to contributed to humanity, but what good is that if humanity is under control of malevolent beings? For that reason, I have decided to switch careers. The only thing that still remains pure in a sense, and that has a beauty to it that until it ceases to exist is nature. There are good people, but the authorities of the government disgust me. For instance, how the heck is the CERN located in such a convenient location in Switzerland where some of the best banks are?

I usually have the same thoughts lingering in the back of my mind and find myself constantly revisiting them. Mostly about the rat race and consumerism. Fuark I have a million things I could write on about forever... Not in the right head space to eloquently articulate them tho.

In the end, from all my ponderings on life, I have come to the conclusion that all I really crave is social connection. Friendship, kinship, and love. I want to be able to experience life together with other people.

The best moments of my life were shared with others. The experiences, amplified, and the bond we forged, strengthened.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

I think the purpose of life is quite simple: reduce suffering for self and others. And by suffering I do not refer topainor unpleasant feelings, but rather the needless clinging to events or endeavors which detract people from their values.

The problem is that humankind has been saying this forever.
All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone.

I walk through life as an observer. I think of every circumstance in life as a reflection of who I am or who I was in a past life.

You live life as a way to better know why you're there in the first place. I think death will come when you finally remember why you were put there in the first place.

For those who don't remember, you live again (in another life) to repeat your lessons. Each lesson getting you closer to the truth, helping you reach nirvana and being able to finally be satisfied with yourself and your experiences. You'll finally be able to let go.

You think so? If we do a comparison of life today and life in our grandparents age, it was very different.

I don't remember my parents talking too negatively about their past.

Deterioration of morality, family values, increase of feminism, greed, promiscuity has destroyed us.

But enough of that eh. Must keep going. Must keep trying. We'll make it.
Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;
Steal from the world, and not a stone
Tell where I lie.
