Brokeback Mountain - incredibly boring and slow-paced. I think this got an inflated and very positive reaction largely because of the time it came out in.

Do people like American Psycho? I thought that sucked. The book was okay though, even if it's very repetitive.

Did people like The Hateful Eight? I didn't hate it, but it's my least favorite Tarantino movie including Death Proof.

Just the fact that plot armor prevented the human from being torn into pieces is a plothole on itself.

I don't get how this is hard to understand, given where he ended up, it could have been the "aliens" that actually tore away the ship, they obviously protected him from the gravitational pull of the blackhole.

Guess you've never heard about the people surviving high altitude airplane explosions/disintegration.

Guess you're not aware that magnetic fields and gravity have different effects on living organisms than they do metal.

Guess you're not aware that the spaceship isn't destroyed but only damaged by the time he ejects. Using your simple logic it might of been damaged by orbiting debris and when he ejected he was finally inside the black hole.

Same thing it was ok, but the commercials and title mislead me thinking it was going to be an extremely strong movie.

Yeah there's motivation in the scene for where he's looking, but it's such a strong wink to the audience (given the story he's just told and the fact that the line comes right before the intermission) that I consider it a fourth wall break.

Sounds like you don't like David O. Russel. Neither do I, but Hollywood really seems to be on his dick for some reason. I'd say the best thing he ever did was call Lily Tomlin a kunt. The Fighter was pretty good though.

Kinda stupid for those powers to destroy a ship but save the human. Why not just save the ship and welcome him stress free?

That's the thing though, I enjoy watching The Godfather. If you don't like it that's fine, but people who don't like it seem to think those that do are just pretending they do to fit in or something. These two scenes crack me up:

these arent the worst movies ever, but they are the most overrated. theyre built on a gimmick, one that was has been done better in other media and they are highly praised which is why there is such a strong backlash against them. 2 and a half stars for each would be fair. something you can watch once, if its on tv and you have nothing better to do.

What general entertainment media explains space/time/humanity better than Interstellar?

Also, I'm not sure I've seen any movie that's more original in its genre and depth than Inception. I recall walking out of the theater saying, "Damn, that's one of the most original movies I've seen in a long time. Completely not what i'm used to seeing in Hollywood." Even though i didn't enjoy Memento that much i really can't think of any movie like it.
