Some of these replies are pathetic. Not everyone's situation is the same.

My oldest is starting 3rd grade in two days. Going to tell him to stand up for kids who are bullied. I already told him to look after his younger brother and his friends if someone is mean to them. I already know that teachers don't give a damn unless it's right up their face.

The solution really is threefold, first parents need to take notice of their children and act when they are bullied at a school. Don't ever dismiss it.
Second I would actually have laws brought in where schools were legally responsible for their students ,just like if a student arrived in school with a black eye from home social services may get involved, if a student arrives home with a black eye then the school could well end up in court as well as the bully ending up in youth court. Believe me if that was the case schools would have far more robust anti bullying policies. And psychological bullying would be on parity with a physical assault also.
Third as has been said earlier kids who are bullies themselves often have problems ,often at home, and I think it is worth social services doing an assessment on a bully and his/her family to check everything is normal.
The solution is not in most cases for the bullied kid to move classes or schools, it isn't solving the problem and passing it on to another school/class in some cases,By it not being resolved in the bullied kids mind it is storing up later problems in my view. They also need to take the focus a bit off the victim, and look at what is going on with the school/teachers and bully. The situation needs to be resolved then and there.
When I was at school a terrible bully was allowed to stay there simply because his father donated money to the building a gym. If his father had not done that he would have been expelled in my view. So as I said, sometimes in these schools where bullying is rife there is a stink of corruption that goes right to the top.
I bang trannies.

I told my younger brothers to always be willing to reach out to other kids who looked like they were having a hard time.It sounds cliche but some people just need a friend.

Breaks my heart to see kids get bullied. So helpless and rarely ever did anything to deserve it other than exist.
And I can't really wrap my head around it. I was a bully myself when I was a kid. When I was 11, I made fun of this fat girl relentlessly. It was cruel how much we made fun of her, but we ALL did it. Even people in other grades. There were only three or four kids who didn't make fun of her, but they weren't really her friends either. It was cruel, but I can't even hate myself because I wasn't in control. No kid is truly in control at that age.
It's like, if life were a video game, kids are all a bunch of NPCs lacking self-awareness. Kids are cruel as fuk. You can do your best (or worst) as a parent and still not have any guarantees about how your child is going to behave. And I do feel like bullying is somewhat natural and unavoidable, so I believe the best thing you could do other than trying to teach your kids not to bully is to keep an eye out for kids that may be bullied themselves and find a way to teach them that they have worth despite what all the bullies say. And teach them how to endure, or to stand up for themselves, or switch them to another school if you have to.
On a side note, this is one of my favorite vids:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwPFIFXqg-M
You could make the argument that with how clueless and lacking self-awareness kids are that sometimes even bullies are deserving of sympathy... But fuk it, I love this vid, lol

Systematic harassment does not build character or make you prepared for life as an adult. It breaks down your self esteem and makes you insecure and afraid of life.
As a parent I will not withdraw from confronting any bullying child and his parents directly.

As someone who has dealt with suicide before and seen the effect it has on a family, the idea of this 13 year old taking his own life is horrible.
To imagine how alone he must have felt for that to be his only option.
I know Miscers like to troll etc, but some of the comments ITT are pathetic.

Good looking young brah picked on? It's weird.
On a more heart-warming note (lol) - check out this guy who finally had enough of the little b1tch giving him crap. Picks him up and throws him to the ground.
This chubby kid got pretty popular after this was shown across Australia, and the world. I bet if he lost some of that young "puppy fat" to this day (this incident happened a few years ago), he'd be pulling mad pussy now lmao.

How do you fight someone who fights with words? You guys think this is magical fairy land where you just always have the right answer. You guys are seriously dumb as fuk if you think you have the answer. There is no right or wrong here.......You have no fuking clue what this kid was going through and you think some how him finding a Mr Miyagi would some how turn the tides for him?
Get your head out of your asses and start thinking in other peoples shoes and not your own.
How is that concept so hard to understand with you *******s? Not all people are like you, fuking dolts. Not everyone can fight, not everyone can trash talk, not everyone has the money, not everyone has the smarts.

Not sure if you are a parent or not, but I am and I have done these things. If you put your head in the sand and just say nothing can be done, then that's when things get like how it was for the kid in the article. The problem is parents don't even talk to their kids to find out what is really going on. And they don't take any action.
As far as the teachers, if you know your kid is being bullied, you call the teacher directly. If they don't do anything, you go over their head. As a parent, I've literally stood in front of a teachers desk over this type of thing before until it was resolved.

Children are cruel creatures and we live in an age where single mom's and liberal cucks are raising children. The majority of what's wrong with America today is the result of absent or non attention paying fathers. When I went tot he first grade my father told me not to pick any fights or start trouble but if someone started something deliver a quick jab to their nose. No warning or arguing. Just throw the punch first, and fast. Had a bit of rudimentary boxing lessons and that was that.
Was a small/shy kid. Maybe had a dozen altercations from the 1st-3rd grade. Became friends with everyone I had a problem with afterwards. Learning how to stand up for yourself is one of the most important things a person can do. Never had any problems or conflicts again after that. Never bullied or anything like that. People respect & like someone who isn't unnecessarily violent/doesn't look for or start trouble but will stand up for themself and not take any chit.
