Blacks overseas is a great example. They grow up in an European setting with no aspect of American inner city life.

Then they start listening to Rap. Here comes the baseball hats, over-sized clothing and basketball shoes. The lingo changes and respect for women drops.

This is also true with Turkish youth in Germany. Much different than the youth in Turkey. The ones in Germany dress and act like in the Rap videos. ie Male Turks in Turkey don't wear diamond earrings but the ones in Germany do.

But as someone said earlier in this thread, there is plenty of rap and hip hop promoting reform and shedding light on the negativity of the hood. Pretty sure that's why K Dot is getting all his recognition.

It is difficult for someone regularly listening to Rap to comprehend the reality. When I hear Rap today it sounds like a foreign language to me. And since so much of mainstream Rap today is sampling EDM melodies - why not avoid the lingo preaching and go straight to the source?

Jewbro is giving certain artist more airtime but check out these Black Award shows and I don't think you can really blame that on corporate America.

Says it all right there. On stage @ the Jewish owned BET awards and instead of calling out the negative aspects of Rap, he decided to victimhood authority. And doubled down on the destructive aspects of Rap by preaching cultural appropriation.

I already stated that it's not just the music, the combination of poor parenting and violent social environment is also a factor.

The white middle class kids who are making rappers go platinum do not grow up with violent, abusive or absentee parents, and nor do they grow up in a ghetto, and nor do they experience social pressure to conform to an ethnic stereotype from within their own community(I'm sure you know what I'm talking about).

All those factors mean that the music is not just music to a lot of kids growing up, it's a culture, one that they recognize and internalize.

Dude... Rock music was (and is) targeted by the christian right in the US. Even to this day the 'illumanti/satan is trying to control the population via popular music' is a reoccurring angle in christian analysis of secular culture.

Just do a youtube search, and listen to some white christian preachers talking about pop and rock music.

The man just said not all rap is like that, and it's not. Just because that garbage gets play on the radio doesn't mean every fukcing artist is saying the same thing. I bet there's a rock band you like that doesn't get much shine above the garbage rock that's played over and over. Their music may be better, but execs don't want THAT, they want this. Now, if I said, "This is all that's played on the radio", you'd find a way to give me at least 10 acts that are better than my post to sh** on the genre.

don't know if this is true, but i googled dylan roof music and articles came up stating that his music interests ranged fromc lassical to rap and that one of his favorite songs was Ice Cream Truck by Montana of 300

I've addressed that twice.

They don't grow up in the same social and family environment as the kids growing up in the ghetto.

They aren't the ones damaged or influenced by the music.

Art is an integral part of any culture, and the dominate form of art within hip hop culture is music. The the most popular artists promote values and behavior that if emulated, result in black majority ghettos.

I have watched in bafflement at middle class black kids in the US trying to emulate the speech patterns, and behavior of black kids growing up in the ghetto.

I even knew a middle class US black kid who came to the UK, I hung out with him for a summer. Dude went back home and tried to be gangster - the last picture I saw of him was him gesturing like he was pulling a trigger with a smirk in a group photo.

Dude was obsessed with hip hop culture, and evidently thought that's what being a 'real nikka' was all about. A lot of black people IME think that someone who doesn't talk with ebonics isn't 'black enough', and that their is same in not being a tough guy.
