Who else is making the transition from IPhone to Android

Once the new Galaxy notes stop exploding I'm making the switch until Apple rolls out the 7s and it's amazing new feature, a headphone jack

This. I actually got the note 7 on release. Love the thing and won't be trading it in until the batch is out and I will just swap my phone with the new ones.

Have an android tablet (Nexus - got it free), but never use it. I just can't get used to the interface. I do think the S7 edge is hnggg, but I'm too entrenched in Apple to switch (all of fam on iphones for dat imessage)

before you pull the trigger on the note, make sure you check out the new nexus.
I have a few test Nexus 6p phones and they are effing beautiful/powerful devices. the new nexus should be coming out over the next couple months. im sure the new one will be effing nuts

Thanks For the suggestion. I'm gonna research what's best, as long as it's not An iPhone. Tired of Apple punishing me for being a consumer

I thought I'd be iPhone for life, then I thought they'd never remove the headphone jack, I said why would they be that dumb? We can't charge and listen to music at the same time?...then it happened, and I was like ok there must be wireless charging...nope.. Then I was like there's gonna be some affordable Bluetooth headphones to go with it right? ...nope

i'm in too deep with iphones though and love how easy they are to use / imessage, but my headphones are way better than the garbage that goes with the 7, so i guess i'll just have to keep buying used 6s's for the rest of my life lol

Just get a s7 op. The note and the s7 have the same specs , unless you want a bigger screen the note isn't worth it this year. Look at the nexus phones too

You guys know it comes with the 3.5mm adapter right?

And I'm actually dumbfounded that you guys are that stuck on using headphones and charging your phone at the same time. But, whatever floats your boat.

I almost made the switch from the iPhone 5S to the Nexus 5X but then Best Buy had a sale and I got the 6S. My main reason for wanting to switch was the rising cost of phones and the elimination of the new contract price every two years from Verizon. When I was able to get the 6S for $99 I pulled the trigger on the deal. Got my dad the same phone with less space for $1 same day.

I made the switch a little over a month ago (had Iphone 3,4,5, and 6) based on the headphone rumors and glad I did. Got the S7 edge, fully waterproof, wireless charging, nbetter, bigger screen, more memory, expandable memory.... the list goes on. Basically, anyone thats not a girl and doesnt need to respond to 40 imessage group chats a day via their macbook should switch.

Admittedly, it was haed at first because Apples IoS is so intuitive and the ecosystem is very exclusionary, but once you get used to its the grass is def greener here.

Honestly didnt mind being cucked by apple until the headphone jack, im someone that likes having a million pairs of wired earphones everywhere I go and im not gonna get cucked yet

Why would I want to carry an adapter everywhere to do something I'd be able to do if it weren't for Apples greed and anti consumer sentiments? I don't want to charge Bluetooth speakers all the time either

Inb4 new $200 Apple cases to carry all the extra **** you'd need just to listen to music and charge your phone

Give me a dual lightning adapter so I can charge and listen to music and we'll talk about getting the 7. My battery would be wrecked listening to music with my headphones at work all day.

It really was not as hard as I thought it would be. The only bad part is that I dont get group messages if people are texting imessage from their laptops, and bein g in a lockstep grad class that is what everyone does.

Bit the bullet anyway, not missing much about people gossiping in class on their imessage, and pay more attention now. For people out of school i cant imagine most people text using mac based imessages.

I see more people just holding onto their 6/6s for years instead of switching though. The 6s is pretty much the peak of the plateu for apple smartphones in terms of usability, phones wont be getting that much faster or bigger for a while.

but at that point why even take the jack out at all??

The worst is not being able to use the AUX for the car and charge at the same time.

leave it connected to your headphones?

Lol embrace technology? Removing something that is not broken and offering NO new technology at all is not innovative. Im honestly amazed theres people crawling out of the woodwork defending this lunacy.

Supposedly lightning headphones has a lot better quality. I would rather they keep the jack. That little 3.5mm hole didn't bother anyone.

Hey guise....

Does nobody care Android sucks and had virtually zero security value?

I mean, this is a device that holds all your photos, private conversations, private photos, banking info, ect....

And it's been proven over and over you can take complete control by exploiting simple vulnerabilities... And their update system is so fukked, some phones never even get offered patches.

No thanks. No OS is perfect, but at least iOS had an incredible rate of response when a vulnerability is found. And that's rare.
