The US had active military personnel on the ground at Normandy, obviously, in large numbers, as part of an active, major war. Casualty [allied] numbers in the area of 10,000.

Do we have that in Aleppo?

I cook with Aleppo pepper all the time, and that's always what I think about when someone mentions it.

I got my dad that Weber copper kettle 22" for Father's Day and he loves it but I prefer my cheapass Char-Griller Super Pro. Smokes much better due to the barrel shape. Can't really smoke in a round kettle grill. Plus the hinged lid is so much easier to use.

just lol if you smoke your meats instead of boiling

a good boil brings out all the delicious meat flavors front and center, microwave it on high for 30 seconds to get a nice sear too

It's so easy for kids birthday parties ordering pounds of whatever to go, I just invite a few friends/clients over with their kids as well. Write it off.

Best barbeque in Charlotte is Mac's Speed Shop and they do catering to-go like that, but people expect me to make everything from scratch. I made 3 barbeque sauces last night and I'm soaking 5 pounds of Great Northern and Navy beans to make Boston baked beans.

The table top will be nice to have and the performer has a nice propane charcoal lighter built in as well as charcoal storage bin that I think would be handy.

I've smoked butts and chicken in a 22" kettle and it's come out fine. Naturally, I prefer to use a dedicated smoker, but the kettles are versatile.

I was speaking in terms of a Commander in Chief hopeful not knowing, not the average citizen.

Personally I think there are only two options America should take in regards to Syria. Nuke Raqqa and Aleppo or don't do a single god damned thing.

After giving it some thought I'm going to go with split chicken breasts, pulled pork shoulder, barbacoa beef, and some Nathan's hot dogs. There's gonna be around 7 kids and a hot dog will always shut them up.
