No, arranged marriages are usually marriages where your parents/elders search for potential partners for you, you meet them, see if you like her/him then say yes or no. How long you get to know them before you get married differs between different people. Some get married right of the bat and others take time to see how compatible they are, i prefer the latter.
Arranged marriage has always been beneficial as it skips over the whole 'dating' crap and actually makes you take the relationship seriously.

Yeah basically. I've never lived in Pakistan. And there is a big cultural difference which I am sure will fade away once she arrives here. She speaks English fluently but she has that back-home mentality that really is annoying. People from back home are usually insecure so they need to assert their education and career status constantly and they all seem to have Crab mentality (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crab_mentality). My own aunt went to her house to disparage me regarding my education and job. She told her that I am lying about my education and I make minimum wage.
