The only thing the 308 is better at than the 6.5 Creedmoor is killing stuff under a couple hundred yards. And even then its pretty marginal. Quality 308 factory ammunition is not cheaper than quality 6.5 Creedmoor. And now that its getting supported by multiple manufacturers, I would say you actually have more choices of match quality ammunition with the 6.5 Creedmoor.

Its not a good idea, but 6.5 Creedmoor will actally shoot out of a 308. It will just be keyholing like crazy.

If 2+ MOA is good with you, then I guess there is nothing wrong with PMC lol

Edit: A lot of people shooting elk with a 6.5 grendel also. There are better cartridges out there to do it though

He's the only person ITT that didn't get that when I said you can shoot 6.5C out of a 308 AR was implying the extremely laborious and expensive task of changing a barrel

and since hes a collector of inaccurate rifles, i'm sure life is great with PMC

Lol at Afghan tics being at 400m. We called that harassing fire and actual tics were much closer.

All this talk on 6.5 does have me curious though. If the cost is similar to .308, that makes it more interesting. How is availability though? And I don't like that there is no history of how it performs against humans.

I had my cookout yesterday and one of the guest's kids was begging to fly my drone. I repeatedly said whatever you do, do not let it get over the house or land on roof. She said she was an expert. Wouldn't shut up about it. Within ten motherfuking seconds that thing was stuck on my roof and jammed in the gutter. My 22 foot ladder won't even reach from the second floor deck. And I ended up being the ass hole for being unhappy about it.

- Never believe a kid when they tell you they are an expert at anything . . . they lie to get what they want.
- Never let a kid play with something that you'll be mad about if they break it . . . because they probably will.
- If you let them play with it anyway . . . you can't really blame them for doing what you were afraid of in the first place.
- Fix it and move on.

-Truth. Consider anything to let a kid have/handle/play with as lost/broken, and be pleasantly surprised when that is not the result.
