If it's just a baking sheet type with a thin layer of liquid, it will run dry every 1.5 hours or so. Obviously, the more liquid the longer it will last.
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

don't even need liquid. People often wrongly associate liquid in a cook chamber with the moistness of the meat. The whole point of the water is to help regulate the temp in the chamber anyway.

I'd fill the thing with playground sand cover it with foil, and be done. easy cleanup, don't have to worry about refilling it every 1.5 hours... (remember, if you're looking, you're not cooking) Everytime ou lift the lid, the cook temp will drop drastically and may not ever be able to settle in, making it very hard for you to identify where you need your vents set, etc...

Is it against any rules to buy/sell in here? I have some shotguns for sale that I could make you guys a killer deal on atm because of the US/Cad exchange rate.

If it's an option I'd look into the export regulations

i remember a decade plus ago, ARs were the expensive $1000 guns and the AKs were the cheap $200-500 guns (cheapest AKs I remember seeing were WASRs for 200 and SARs for 250)

the prices on the two have literally reversed

Thinking Canad will let you do anything with those except turn them in once they start confiscation.

Doubt hunting rifles and shotguns are going anywhere anytime soon. Those are permitted in countries with the most draconian gun laws.

We went way off topic here all I wanted to know was if it was against the rules to buy and sell here.

And FWIW I actually agree with you guys. Canada's gun laws (and so do most others around the world) suck balls and I fully believe in the right to own guns for private citizens. Can't do anything about it though

Import/export of guns is going to be your main barrier. It is not "illegal" to sell guns on here. I believe that most here do it via PM so as to avoid frownies.

I did a quick search and it's not as onerous as you might imagine. Not on this end at least, and I can't imagine it'd be too difficult that end either you'd just have to go through a FFL. I think the biggest issue here would be import duties but maybe the exchange might offset some of that.

I would imagine it's legal to sell to someone in the US as long as it's shipped to an FFL here. I have no idea what sort of duties would be imposed for it to cross borders though. I honestly don't know exactly how that process works.

Shipping it freight is going to run you like 600 bucks. It would probably be cheaper to UPS ground three cases duct taped together in printer boxes in 5-6 shipments than to ship it freight.

EDIT: Instead of engaging in this absurd exercise, just move to Virginia and acquire them locally.
