I've found that unless you're a high-rep troll, you mostly get ignored on the Misc when you have higher reps. Hard to engage in a good thread when people are fearful that you'll neg them.

I will say that on sites that I've been a part of where positive/negative reinforcement for posts were successfully implemented, every single instance where tinkering was involved, it either backfired or the site suffered significant engagement drops.

Maybe that's the ultimate goal, who knows?

This will only affect a handful of people though, so I don't believe it will bother many.

why do members over 150k deserve to be reset to 150k and not 0? do you think you get hundreds of thousands of reps by being a fantastic poster? reset them all to 0 and if theyre really as good a poster they think they are theyll bounce back quick
