I'm a Chinaman, you people are discriminating us for no reason. What's the big problem?
Not our problem if you're too poor to afford housing.

The housing market in Toronto city, perhaps, is "rough", as in too expensive for your average middle class human being. Cities such as Guelph, London, Peterborough, etc, etc, have modestly priced homes that are more realistic and affordable. Ontario as a whole is fine - It's when you start analyzing cities with a finely-tuned microscope where "tough housing markets" arises.
As I said again, go to Vancouver if you want an actual rough housing market. We wouldn't even be having a discussion of"I lost the bid to buy the house"because you would be too fucking poor in the first place to even put up a single bid.
Here would be your life: Forced to pack your bags, any chance of living your pathetic "American Dream" squandered, and start dishing out 1,700 monthly for your basement bachelor apartment.

Cant even imagine being a first time buyer in this market. There is nothing special about waterloo, guelph, london or peterborough to have gta like pricing.
You're delusional because you are probably renting a dingey basement and telling people they should be able to fork out whatever the fukk chinese buyers feel like bidding.
Also i have personally seen a tour bus full of asian people who looked to be travellers (cameras hanging around their necks, shorts, high socks) going to open houses in one neighbourhood close to university of waterloo. If thats not a good indicator on whats driving the volume of sales and prices up then idk what is.

Living in Santa Cruz, CA with a larger dog it is hard for me to find a suitable 1+ bedroom for under $2000 a month.

Problem in CA is more of a supply/demand issue. CA likes to approach zoning and development like its some kind of group project where random residents can object to about anything and everything (and they usually do) thus driving up land prices. Existing homeowners benefit because it raises their home price. Meanwhile, anyone who doesn't own a home there or is trying to live there gets the shaft. I have never encountered a population so politically self-destructive until I moved to CA. Unreal.

Its a strategic ploy to position the 1% to "rig" the public housing sector and privatize it. Rig meaning is that families who just want to phukking work a little and have a house now have to "compete" against business for a property to live in. Foreign investors scooping up the family structure (houses) at all cash offers to outbid families - raising the housing prices. then the families are forced to rent the same phukking houses they would have owned from these investors at higher rent than the the mortgate would be, while throwing all the money away (no principal).
Don't worry OP, while your parents live in squaler in a their 1 bedroom apartment forever, some rich chinese manlet in china is using the income from phukking your parents and the public over to lube his 2" erect asian cock with a 50K bottle of dom perignon chamagne to phuck a 13 year old child prostitute.
and there is nothing you can do about it. you are a cuck to the system.

In my opinion it's a safety move to allocate wealth outside of China since for so long people weren't able to do so and in the eventuality of a Chinese market bubble way over due. Chinese tend to want to stick together, sometimes buying 20+ properties all next to each other. There are also Chinese intermediaries in play which broker the sales. They take advantage of the number of Chinese buying properties and focus them all in one city so that the prices go up and they earn more commission. Instead of imposing a tax on foreign buyers ....let's just make it harder for new homebuyers to be able to get into the market.
At the same time it's still difficult for young people to find jobs AND salaries are pretty stagnant.
Something has to give because this is getting out of hand.
I'm sick of seeing all these asian FOB's riding around in their Lambo's, ferrari's, etc. while the average person is stuck on the chitty subway on the way to their $60K salary job that can't even afford them a house in the city.

Never been in a bidding war. Made an offer when was another was already made and the seller took mine instead; and I made a an offer below the asking price.
Of course, I was already pre-approved and everything to ensure mine would be a guaranteed sale.

But yea Canada is cucked beyond belief....Specifically by rich foreigners.
I know how much certain people make in Toronto and there's no way they can afford to live in the city.

I admire my fellow Canadian brahs who stick around in TO with all this chit going on. There is something terribly wrong with Canada to allow this to happen and to allow for it to get as bad as it has.
I had to GTFO out of TO when I finished school there as it just became too unsustainable to live there. Towards the end of my lease there my landlords (who were Asian investors) told me if I wanted to renew my lease the rent would be increasing by $300 per month.
I lol'd and got the fuk out of there.
In the meantime, new graduates have a hard time finding employment and most the ones that do start working with salaries in the range of 45-60K.
How is this sustainable at all?
brb driving Canadians out of major cities so rich foreigners can come in and have their fun.
The system is incredibly fuked.

But no, middle class canadians are the problem.
They are calling this a stress test. Might as well call it a 'not a rich asian' test.

Lmfao if you don't think China is manipulating the chit out of their currency. Make it a floating point currency and misc could probably buy half of mainland china.
Also lmao at cucks who chose to live in these cities when they can't afford it. If you can't change policy the smartest thing you can do is leave, a mass migration of millennial out of these cities would completely fuk over the city.
