I never got out of second gear so it really comes down to cornering and how well you pick your lines. There's also pretty strict classes so you won't be racing any super cars or anything modded unless you're in one as well. I did terrible because I was just trying to drive as hard as I could for the fun of it since it was my first time out and first time really pushing the car. Only got 3 timed runs and 3 fun runs. You should absolutely do it at least once.

i'll be that dude out there ripping the handbrake knocking over all the cones
on a semi-related note, any car aficionados feel free to chip in. Currently perusing new cars (only looked at dealerships, but will probably buy used if I end up getting one). I want something practical and sporty, basically any car that will be quicker than my current 2008 VW Rabbit (not too hard to beat) will suffice. Don't want something too fancy, as it will be used for doggo transpo, and will be getting dirty. pretty much has to be manual. So far of the ones I've looked at, I'm more inclined towards a Mitsubishi Evo or GTI, looking to stay in the low 30's of the cars original MSRP,

have also considered getting a truck, and doing the pre-runner modifications to it that everyone in so-cal is doing. Luckily, my brother up north has had plenty of experience, and works in the industry, so he can hook me up with parts/people to do work on it if I went that route. or really any modding route. But there's something about the ability to jump a truck and seeing that suspension travel that is so hhnnggg

wanna get a quote on how much the oil leak will cost to fix, but to do that, they need to take some things apart. at that point, might as well just get it fixed, since I'd be paying for the labor regardless
