Money shouldn't even be on the agenda for the first date.

You guys are suckers. I haven't had a first date over 20 bucks in a long time. How do you expect to date a number of women when it comes out to $140 a date?

Ice cream is a $10 date. Rock climbing is a $20 date. Bowling is a $20 date. A walk is free. Getting a drink is $20 max for me.

I don't spend money at bars, regardless of whether I'm on a date or not.

I agree with this statement because if you do not have money, there would be no first date.

Realistically speaking unless you both are into fitness and are not into consuming calories at all on dates maybe $20... MAYBE, MAYBE gets you one of those events.

But bowling for 2 at the cheapest place around here, UNLESS you go to the cheapest place on their "ladies night" or something is going to be $20-30 NOT INCLUDING drinks/food.

I agree, this is how things should be. Now you have to reconcile that with how things actually are: a lot of females use that "rule" as an excuse to continue being social cowards and never ask anyone out. You're giving them an excuse to double down on the stupidity. Not only that, but if you go by the "I'll pay for three dates" thing someone else mentioned, now they have a firm window to be as entitled as they want and then just move on to the next guy who will finance their boredom.

Immaturity runs rampant with either gender these days, but until their are consequences nobody will be motivated to do better.

Read my post on this page. Perhaps because you know their friends, who they associate with, a co worker that has knowledge of how this person behaves, maybe even her family and that would give you a good read on how she might have been raised.

This.

Most of this forum is made of betas who are all bluster on the internet.

I like paying on the first date...but thats because 99% of my first dates are in a coffee shop and cost a maximum of $10 and most times even less. The moment this happens, the girls defenses are lowered as she assumes that you'll take that approach to any meal. LOL at the lack of strategy and eye for perception these dudes have. The moment you start discussing splitting you have failed. Spectacularly.

Being cheap and perceived as cheap are two very different things. The latter dries up the pussy mighty fast.

The mature males that have real shiet going for them dont play that game. So thats what these females have to lose. Ever wonder why you hear both sexes always saying "there are no good men/women left in the world"

Thats false. There are a ton of good people in the world, they just choose not to associate with you (person making the statement)

I hear you...you come off as one of these smarter posters here. But still, familiar associates is no guarantee of good dating material. I have plenty of friends whose female friends are turbo sloots. Miscers are either FAs or dudes with male centric activities and interests which likely means that access to potential dates through their networks are scarce...why do u think Tinder is such a popular topic of conversation on here? On any kind of social networking site, its pretty much a huge gamble. Couple that with the fact that, among millenials (the age of the average miscer essentially) traditional dating is fast becoming a thing of the past in liu of netflix'n'chilling

Agreed.

A big factor in all this is that very few people see it as their problem, they just justify their selfishness any number of ways.If I can afford it, so what? If he's going to spend the money anyway, why not?Etc, etc. So the problem never gets addressed, and people bicker over symptoms as the can gets kicked on down the line.

You don't fix problems by only chasing symptoms. You tackle what causes/caused the problem.

Most miscers are in their 20's. Purely being honest most dudes in their 20's dont have their **** together and dont really take strongly to the idea of making anything other than the minimum investment for sexual reward. And then you have the fact that in many competitive metro areas where dating is fierce, people simply cant afford to be blowing cash on multiple dates a week/month.

I tend to find women care more about a mansdesireto pay rather than strictly themeans. The average female in her early twenties is well aware that most dudes her age wont be balling outta control...however if a guy shows particular willingness to pay for her, it leaves a strong first impression. This is why first dates (where early impressions are critical) should always be cheap in order for the guy to show his willingness to invest in a "prospect". Paying for an entire $10 breakfast at Starbucks actually comes across a lot better than paying 60%+ of a $100 meal.

Agreed with yours and Majestic lions POV. All very articulate and clearly thought out. Its funny how perspectives are so different. The problem is that most people are far too short sited.

When I went on the first date with my now wife (I owned multiple nice cars), I chose to borrow my family member's broke 13 year old Camry to meet her at a House of Pancakes. I wanted to ensure she was investing her time for the right reasons.

To Majestic Lion's problem tackling point, i agree....and at the highest level you tackle this at the home, at a VERY YOUNG AGE. Im always influencing my 3 year old and having many conversations with him that most dont have with kids that age. Even if he doesnt comprehend it all just yet, it sets a tone and foundation for us to build on over the years.

She's just a small, bitter little brat. The saddest thing is that it reeks strongly like a case of "doth protests too much". If there was one thing I knew about women who were familiar with wealth and opulence...it was their desperation to prove to the world that money was the sum of their lives. She is likely some broke 5.5/10 from a blue collar family who got her first taste of a beta with more money than sense and has become cocky about it.

Its pretty common with mediocre sloots...like the fat broads who catch a Chad during a dry streak and now wants to lie and pretend as if her scores have been consistent.

I'm sure as fuk not paying for food or drinks if we are doing something else. That is 100% her choice. If she asks to get a drink or food say not right now but you're welcome to. Or a bolder response would be to say "Sure! Would you mind getting them since I got bowling?" No girl will ever refuse. A lot of women will pressure you into paying for chit if you let them.

Don't dish out money on dates out of fear of looking cheap. It's a suckers game. I have used groupons on dates and any girl who isn't cool with that, isn't cool with me.

I get your opinions and I sorta agree. But when your first getting to know someone (a girl u wana bang in this sceanrio) you should be offering to "Have a good time" and you are inviting her to that "good time" with you. For me keeping it cheap is my usually daily routine, but on a weekend or the 1-2 free nights out of the week I get I dont mind dishing out $100 to have a few drinks a nice meal and maybe do a fun activity like you said (walk on the beach, park, etc..) IF YOU NEED TO PROVE TO HER THAT UR CHEAP AND SHE NEEDS TO BE OKAY WITH THAT, thats also fine and something that needs to be done. But to force that card on a first day is a 50/50 you make things awkward and cringey. And sure no loss to you.. butRisk=/=Reward boyo.

If you're SO TIGHT you cannot afford to waste $100 on a girl you might not bang. I get it and i assume most men in that 18/24 range might fall in that category. But trust me at a certain point throwing $100 at a relaxing night for yourself and the possibility of you getting laid is totally worth it.

Definitely cheaper than a hooker. And more fun too. And the whole "night" lasts longer.
Are you not entertained?

Always pay for first date. If she doesn't even look at the check and at least offer to split, then it's a straight pump and dump

Not taking these girls out to 5 star restaurants here 20 bucks is nothing to avoid looking like a ******* and then not getting laid

I agree. If you are inviting then you pay unless its friends. I always make that known with any girl i date. If I invite her on a date then I think it's fair that I pay. Vice versa unless we have some kind of agreement.

lol. I love reading wisdom from broke miscers.

Luckily I have money and $100 isn't unattainable, or unreasonable for me to part with.

Going to an expensive restaurant around my area and getting steaks w/ a couple drinks is only like $150. Just LOL at you broke ****s being all stingy about taking some girl out and negotiating how to split a ****ing $30 tab. It's pretty easy to tell which girls are trash and just want a free meal and a girl who is at least interested in fuking.
