At least they aren't afraid to turn ****li pirates into fish food with their navy.
It isn't all about flashy tech. In the end they have alpha men at the helm loading shells and elbow deep with a wrench in the diesel propulsion whereas there is probably a transsexual hipster with a joystick and VR goggles operating the US ship.. and it's probably "green energy hybrid" *******s propulsion.
I'd rather die at sea fighting alongside the real men.

I'm sure they're deadly as fuk, but I hate the look of modern war machines.
WW2 era stuff looked so much cooler than anything I've seen in this thread. It must have been insane to see a ship on the horizon and just start lobbing 2,500 lb bombs at each other.

Look at the military budget for the Vietkong (who won) or the afghan goat herders using sugar/weed kill bombs (who won).
Chinese military technology is hardly even released to the world. America always brags about stuff. China keep their stuff secret.
Also chinese population WAY bigger than US.
Look at how the russian population helped in WW2. 30% of their soldiers didnt even have guns or ammo and were just charging at the enemy.

I always thought war was won by the side who is the more intelligent with their military tactics, than just the people who have the best technology. The Mongols and Huns didn't have the best technology I'd say, as the civilizations they fought were technically more advanced than them, they just had superior tactics during the battlefield that crushed their enemies.

Still believe they can't refuel underway either---something the US and its NATO allies have been doing for years. Could be wrong on this though.
It's the subs we have to worry about. Excellent engineering there.

Hardness tells you almost nothing about a materials ability to withstand impacts, hard materials are also usually brittle and you need some ductility and high yield strain in impact absorption, composites have 0 ductility and low yield strain.
you can take your harder to scratch composite, ill take scratched up battle tested steel

American checking in...
While much of our hardware is better than the Russians the real numbers that count is nuclear arsenal.
If it didn't matter than we wouldn't of allowed them to invade Georgia (Former U.S.S.R. Satellite Nation) and the Ukraine, without doing much of anything.
America's head-to-head non-nuclear arsenal also is meaningless if we don't have leadership willing to utilize it correctly, see last 8 years. The Russians obviously have no problem doing so.

knows more than US Navy about which materials to use for building destroyers.
