What is realistically available in Calif anymore? 1911s, revolvers, and maybe a couple of Glock models?

It's unenforceable.

It's a 4 year license, $1 per ammo purchase FYI, and CCW/LEO exempt.

To your other posts, Sig, Glock gen 3's, 1911's, XD's are the main handguns still available.

They've since mandated that centerfire targets have to be at the end of the range (75 yards). But probably still plenty of people being potato with handguns, too. You can see how torn up the top section of the cardboard is here.

I wish our range had flipping targets. That looks fun.

One of the laws says that, yeah. So here's the deal. Brown signed one deal to go into effect 01/01/17, which has LEO/CCW exempt IIRC, and Newsom has a ballot (prop 63) that is basically the same bill, but retired LEO/CCW aren't exempt.

There's some infighting on the left over it. Newsom wants to outright ban firearms in the state, Brown wants to maintain status quo for the most part.

Prop 63 is overwhelmingly supported in LA/SF, so yeah, it will pass.

Non-CA residents (IIRC) cannot buy ammo here, nor can they transport it in. They, too, can pay $25 for the 4 year license and be licensed to buy ammo in CA.

Oh, and Brown's version would exempt gun store employees, etc....Newsom's doesn't.

Doesn't seem like a bad price for that Springfield.

Could build one cheaper but I don't know if the quality would match that.

A friend of mine asked me about getting a cheap AR.

I remember a while back somebody posting a build with a PSA blem upper and a cheap tier lower and parts and chit for a pretty low price. He has several guns already and is competent so the build process wouldn't be an issue, but is it even worth going that route with completes the prices they are any more?

What do you guys recommend when somebody asks you what they should get as a super cheap AR?

There's a panel on the economy this Friday from Mitt Romney, John McCain and Michael Bloomberg that I'm going to:

Idk if they're going to do a Q&A, but if they do, what would you guys ask these bastards?

Pennsylvania state police have raided a Delaware County political field office seeking evidence of possible voter-registration fraud, according to court records.

The warrant did not specify the nature of the probe, but said agents also were looking for โ€œtemplates . . . utilized to construct fraudulent voter registration formsโ€ and โ€œcompleted voter registration forms containing same or similar identifying information of individuals on multiple forms.

I'm trying to think of a question something like:

"How much better do you think the economy and our country would be if people like Mr Bloomberg couldn't influence politicians like Senator McCain? Wouldn't it be nice for us peasants if there was zero material incentive to be a politician?"

Paper ballot and voter ID in all states. I'm pretty sure the left will consider me racist for even suggesting voter ID though

it is racist according to a professor I had..

b-b-b-because the p-p-poor minorities can't get a ride to the DMV to get a proper ID. was the reason he gave.
Life passes most people by while they're making grand plans for it. Throughout my lifetime, I've left pieces of my heart here and there. And now, there's almost not enough to stay alive. But I force a smile, knowing that my ambition far exceeded my talent. There are no more white horses or pretty ladies at my door.

my state passed voter ID last year, they will come pick up anybody that doesn't have a ride and take them to get the ID - which is free of charge

yet, people still claimed it was racist. The law was eventually upheld and in force for this year

I hope you are right. I just started reading the text of SB1235 and the only thing mentioned was "a holder of a special weapons permit pursuant to section blah blah blah". Need to look up those sections to see what it pertains to.
