It's mind-boggling how fast the socialists, trannies, and illegals took over California politics.

It had a Republican governor (Pete Wilson) in 1999.
(Arnold doesn't count unless liberal, anti-2A RINOs are included.)

Must be rough for older Californians who live outside the LA region and the Bay Area.

TTAG did an 8-mag mag dump through it as fast as they could pull the trigger into a 260 yard long tannerite minefield in a race against 12 other people to blow up as much stuff as possible. The guards melted as a result of that. The previous day, they had done similar volume at a normal rate of actual aimed fire without melting anything, and the guards melted at the gas block.

If someone is really worried about it, they can always get a $28 MLOK Foreend.

What do you guys recommend when somebody asks you what they should get as a super cheap AR?
I usually tell them to spend $6-700 on a nice complete rifle like the Aero that people were buying ITT a few days back then customize it to their preferences over time. If they want to build it then just lay out what they need to buy and which companies to look at.

How in the fuk did BCM not test the handguard's ability to handle heat? Not very confidence inspiring.

Can anyone here give me the lowdown on 14.5" pinned/welded barrels? Do you buy the barrel then take it to a gunsmith? Do any of the barrel companies do the pin/weld for you if you send them your attachment? I heard there are better and worse ways to conform to the law, like you can basically just solder it on vs a legit weld.

Are you talking 7.62x39? I'm pretty sure your ammo options would make an AR chambered in that round not as reliable as you would want it to be. Sure, there is brass cased x39 but nobody gets into that round to pay more for ammo. If your talking .308 (7.62x51), that could be a pretty sweet AR10 in 10.5" although I've never shot that out of a short barrel myself

That shouldn't happen, but it's the BCM hand guard, not the SA rifle. It's also something that occurred after 240 rounds in what sounds like sustained 60ish rounds per minute firing. I don't suspect that many people are going to have an interest in trying that out for themselves. At $750, I think it's going to prove to be a solid purchase.

Gotta agree.
To me that just means the BCM hand-guard isn't the best choice for wasting ammo.
Unless someone thinks their self-defense needs include emptying multiple mags without a break, it's probably good to go.

Unless you are going to Afghanistan (doubt it) or a top tier competition shooter, I doubt you are going to utilize most of those features. I LOL when people trick their guns out with unnecessary gear when most will never use that stuff. Its just to be a fanboy to be honest. Even most cops won't use that stuff (exception is SWAT). Past the necessary stuff like sights, stock, and charging handle, most people don't need crap like a tactical light, laser, lighter trigger, multiple scopes, bigger foxtail, bipod, etc. Its even more a moot point when talking about internal differences that won't effect most people. Face it, how many civilians need a tactical light, let alone arbitrary stuff that more expensive weapons feature? How many people will honestly shoot 10K rounds through their weapon? Most civilians won't be crawling through the mud enough to truly test their weapons either, and face it, most of the people who buy these weapons aren't Spec Ops or LE.

I just needed a straight out the box gun with a rail system that is reliable, will pass an armorer's inspection, and is accurate. If the SAINT is such a piece of chit, then I'm sure it wouldn't have made it into several police mags praising it or be used by major depts. I've hit black with way worse guns in the military than the one I just brought. Same with my pistols. I'm just as accurate with the Glock in the pictures I posted as I am with the stock one my dept issued me. At the end of the day, there's going to be little difference between the way these AR15s shoot. I'm not just talking about the BCM and M&P15T either, but a majority of the brands out there. All in all, I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with my purchase and I don't let BB.com's opinion dictate my purchases lol.
People on here are way too gun snobby. The SAINT is a solid product and in use by multiple agencies around. In the hands of a good shooter, its still gonna go "bang" and hit just as accurate as a Bushmaster, Colt, DD, BCM, RRA, etc.

BCM is trying so damned hard to beat Magpul at their game. They should've just owned up to not being able to do it or done adequate testing. Either way, I'd still rec the rifle, just not the handguard by itself.

A lot of shooters do a lot more with their rifles than what they think they need for self-defense.

Sure most people won't shoot enough rounds in succession to melt this hand guard, but other handguards on the market won't so this one shouldn't either. It's like one of a few main purposes for the handguard: be strong/sturdy, be ergonomic, handle the heat coming off the barrel/gas system.

i have no experience with 7.62x39 ARs but i have read about reliability issues with quite a few.i have a Draco AK pistol that i really like.fun to shoot and never given me any problems.i wouldnt buy any century ak builds.for an ak pistol i would go with the yugo m92 or the Romanian Draco pistol.

Are you the queen bee of MFC? Forgive me, I failed to read that in the intro. All hail the Queen.

You may have spent more time in these threads than I have, which is great. Congratulations. You are on the internet. Time to feel condescending and superior. I'd like to hear what you've done in the world that gives you such distinction.

For my part, I've used my fitness to carry unconscious wounded Marines in combat, carry SMAW rockets for miles before shooting them, and haul everything on my back and across canals. Does that fit your fitness definition of "better" or "stronger?"

Or maybe we should compare firearm experience/penis size. I would like to see your dik first though; mine is too busy being buried deep in your mother's ass.

So if it makes you feel better: post your definition of fitness and challenge me to something. Or just shut the hell up and quit pretending you're God's gift to the Misc, this thread, or even your parents. I know your mother told me you were supposed to be swallowed, but I'm sure she didn't mean it.

My FB has gone quiet, amazing how much it slows down when my Dem friends have nothing to say. Feel like posting pics of my ammo cans to rile up folks but don't want dat gubment coming for me.

Over the wekend saw SGammo isn't shipping until today-Thurs so I figured might as well buy some Speer gold dot 308. Bonus check coming Thurs isn't all that bad, but it's mainly going towards ammo I put on credit.

Unrelated... anyone know of a pair of non-slip dress shoes that won't tear across the bottom ball of foot area? I've been buying Dockers oxfords but I have to replace them every 4-6 months because my socks will see pavement if I don't.
