Edit: Silencer brahs, any certain brand/models I should be looking at for an AR? Looking around at vendors that are near me it looks like I can pick from any brand I'd like.

I have the AAC 762 SDN-6 and my buddy has the Silencerco Saker. Both are good to go. I recommend going the .30cal can as you can always downsize to 6.5mm ot 5.56mm with out any issues. Getting a dedicated 5.56 can will give a slight increase in performance, at the cost of only being good for one caliber.

Generally I guess it's 3 or maybe even 4 dB less loud with a dedicated 5.56 can on a 5.56 than when using a .30, but with what these things cost, not to mention the $200 tax, simply getting a .30 can for rifle sounds like the best idea (and I did the same as azliftbrah). Some people even say they prefer the sound of the .30 can because it's a slightly lower frequency. IDK about that haven't been able to compare, but yeah...I'd get a .30 can unless you want to end up going through the process for multiple cans.

IDK about AAC after the Remington buyout and them moving away from my backyard here in GA and so many people not being with them any more. Check silencertalk too

Weight/size and DB levels are the three things that kept me away from a .30 caliber can for a 5.56 rifle. And the fact I have no .30 cal firearms

Yeah, I got my AAC can right before the buyout, but have not been following the silencer scene since then.

I did a structural eval this morning in a house that had caught fire. The guy lost pretty much everything. He choked up when he walked into one room and told me he couldn't go in there.

He had a bunch of old video reels and photo books in there. They were all ruined. Really puts stuff into perspective as to what might be worth putting into a fireproof safe. Might not be the stuff with the big dollar values that are worth protecting the most.

Dude's basement was full of old school arcade games. He had over 50 of them. He was really tore up about those. I felt really bad for the guy.

In this case, lick on Blump's name next to his post, and click on view forum posts, it will show you search result style listing of his posts, newest first. Since he says he just put that up, finding it will take no longer than reading this sentence

It also takes less time to find the post yourself, in this case, than make a post asking for a link.

Through my User Control Panel. I mostly check threads I am subscribed to, catch up on them, and that's it (auto sub to threads I post in, through panel only). Sometimes I click on subscribed forums and look for new threads.

I mostly only go through CP on subscribed threads. If they're moving slow and I'm bored, I'll hit the new posts every now and then and see what pops up.

(45 seconds wait is bullchit so I'm just typing this for something to do while I pass the time)

Damn I hope he was insured?

I think the stuff I pulled out was "fireproof." It was sheetrock wrapped in fire resistant blankets.

My safe interior components were cheap and easily broke. Particle board, etc.

It said it could fit "60 guns," but I have 11 rifles and 9 handguns in there right now and it's maxed out due to the set up. So I'm setting it up myself. Before and after pics inbound

Do you guys follow several threads closely. This is the only thread I'm a regular in. Most of the other threads I subscribe to die out in a few hours or at most a day. I feel like I am constantly having to look for more dumb chit to read about on here.




Also, saw some ******* wearing a bert MISC tank at the gym yesterday. Immediately started laughing.
