I try and view the phone like this:

Rarely call businesses outside of confirming store hours before I trek somewhere to buy chit.

Family and old friends can get a longer talk (especially diff cities) to catch up. Immediate family gets most phone time.

Last girlfriend got the "need anything at the store while I'm out...xyz is on sale, I know you like that/need any" or quick plans.

Girls I am trying to get with get a call to arrange when and where we are going. I try and keep it 2 to 5 mins.

IMO its better to spend time in person to get a real judge on character and also not be used as supply/attention for those who dont want to be alone. This been my experience up until now. Years ago in my early 20s I dated a diagnosed (later) borderline disordered woman who made long "magical" phone talk at the jump.

But hell if you enjoy spending 3 hours on a phone and dont start a headache after 30 mins in, go for it. Your time. Enjoy it. Just dont forget to do the important part which is firm up a date. If she flakes on that after 3 hour talk, walk away.

Can you give us some red flags, patterns, and traits to look for in order to avoid BPD girls ? Also did she fuk you up mentally and can you give advice how to "get over it" easier/faster ? I dont want to hijack thread so if you dont want to respond ITT can you PM me or make a new thread about it ? I dated a girl that I think had BPD and she fuked me up. I havent seen her since sept 2015 and I am just now getting back to "normal", havent been able to talk to any girls since her but I'm hoping to start soon.
