How difficult is it to make money writing children's books?
Seems so simple to me, fellas. It really does. I have young siblings who've built a vast collection of these stupid books. Kids storybooks. I'll occasionally leaf through them just to see what's going on in the world. See what's happening with the youngsters these days. These books seem to be nothing but short sentences accompanied by average to below average illustration. That's it. That's all I see. The standard is so incredibly low that I'd have no choice but to hit it. Children's books aren't good books. Not the stuff they make these days. You boys ever hear of Pete the Cat? He's like Felix the Cat's retarded jackass of a cousin. He always looks very high on drugs. I've never seen such crappy books in my life. I don't know how he became so popular. It's ridiculous.
I know absolutely nothing about writing and publishing a book. In fact, I failed English twice in high school. However, I am a very talented artist (as seen in my memes) and think i could throw together a children's book on par with the crap being churned out today. Is this more difficult than it seems, fellas? Anyone here have and experience getting a book published? I'm serious about this. I think it might be my calling.

To 'make money' it would be difficult. Have you ever looked at a famous and expensive piece of abstract art that shows little skill/technique and thought that you could do the same? Nearly everyone has but almost no one does. To make a living from writing children's books you probably need to be talented as an illustrator and understand kids. Then you need a high profile or incredible luck.

Just create anime. Your high levels of autism will propel you very far in that niche.

Get to it. I think it's an interesting market. The thing is though, you absolutely need to self publish. In order to do that you need to create your own brand, and handle everything that comes with a one man startup. But it really is something I want to try as a project somewhere down the line myself.
Maybe even drop in some subtle political redpills for the kids to swallow.

Brilliant.
Okay not srs about the redpills but srs about it being an interesting market.

It's not harder than making a living from most kinds of books, but it takes some time to find your target audience.

Its a hard niche to get into and make money, but once you have a following you can basically just draw your acid trips and make bank.
I have a one year old and all the shows he watches are complete and utter crap. 90% are just the same songs by different characters and the rest is a literal acid trip of WTF.
