Dior Homme Parfum brahs; can someone aware me on what I am smelling here? I get tons of iris, which smells like straight up lipstick with little peeks of leather here and there, and some other note I can't quite put my finger on. It has kind of a musty attic vibe to it as well. What am I missing?

I see Creed Aventus (Vial Sample Spray 0.08 fl oz / 2.5ml New With Card) going for $11 on the Bay. Is this an acceptable deal. I haven't ever tried it, so just looking to get a sample first.

Edit: I don't live near any department stores that carry this scent.

I hear you brah. I myself have no problems paying $65 for a "Halston" and receiving Virgin Island Water. I only hope its a coconut heavy batch and not the lime infused piece of crap they have been releasing lately.

One thing to note about Green Irish Tweed is that it's truly a niche fragrance by all design. This means that it's a very special tastes fragrance, that often does something rather obscure, and is intended to appeal to member of some artistic (or wealthy) aristocracy. The note about Green Irish Tweed is that it's not just earthy, it's absolutely bare bones to the natural essence of grass and earth. For this reason, it lacks the sense of style that the general person is looking for in a cologne or perfume. Green Irish Tweed projects more like bare essential oil, so you're not going to like it if you're looking for your fragrance to present any type of stylish essence about itself.

I'd say you're be way better off with like Lacoste Vert, if you're looking for a stylish green fragrance. Guссi Sport is infinitely greener, but might be too strong even, if you're just going to be sitting around. It's designed as a true sport scent, which means having potential out in the open air.

If you're looking for a great leather fragrance, that would be Dior Fahrenheit, which is probably the holy grail of leather. Fahrenheit is very natural, stylish, lasts a long time, and projects really well. Not sure how much you're going to like those Tom Ford selections. They might be really hyped, but I went to sample them myself, and they didn't turn out anything like others said.

You can actually read the story here.

http://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showth...post1471609491

Otherwise, you're probably looking for something like Spicebomb, original Valentino Uomo, Givenchy Pi Extreme, or Pure Havane (for something earthy and masculine). I have the Pure Havane clone, Insurrection II Wild, which is a really good clone, in addition to being much more affordable. I also have decants available if you're interested, Fahrenheit as well, and the more exotic Fahrenheit La Parfum. Another notable fragrance I have decants for is Guссi by Guссi, which is one of the best fragrances I've ever owned hands down. Club de Nuit Intense Man (the Aventus clone) and Insurrection II Pure (the brighter pineapple rich Aventus clone) are among two others I have, and for what you would pay for those Tom Fords (only to more likely get anally savaged by disappointment) you can pick up all the above mentioned decants from me, plus 1 probably.

Only ones right now that I have and really like are aqua di gio (we in 2002 again misc) D&G light blue and burberry brit (HNNNGGGGGGGG)

Does anyone here who knows burberry brit (not rhythym, just brit) know any colognes similar to it? Would love to know
Agree with you on D&G the One and Cool Water. I recently sampled Cool Water after a long time, and it's weird, I don't remember there being any green in it. It used to be purely aquatic from what I remember. That was the weird part to me. Guссi Guilty I can you right now has been dramatically reformulated. I remember smelling Guссi Guilty when it first came out, and it was literally a perfectly stylish masculine fragrance. It was bright and aromatic, and had all the qualities a man would be looking to enrapture himself in to appeal to women. The current version isn't anything like that, and I could notice that from the start, but it's not entirely bad either I don't think. It's a less is more fragrance, you have to apply it sparingly if you don't want to be overwhelmed by the notes. And even in that, it's very much a fragrance that grows on you I think. Your better bets there are the Diamond Limited Edition (a more complex and stylish version), and Guilty Eau (its newest perfected freshness version).

Shout out to big homie CTSV648HP for this particular sample. I wore it for the first time a couple weeks ago and thought it was pretty decent. I wasn't blown away by it, but felt it was average, not my favorite vetiver scent but not horrible.

Fast forward to this morning and I wore it again and it seems my opinion has turned for the worst. :\ I put 3 sprays on after I dried off from the shower, could hardly smell anything. Went with 5 more in the chest, neck, and directly onto my undershirt and I'm just not digging this scent any longer. Smells like a citrusy wooden mess. You guys ever discover an old, forgotten shirt in the bottom of your dresser drawer you haven't worn in a while, so you put it on and it smells like the wooden drawer? That's what this smells like.

On a side note, I've been wanting my wife to get used to my pistol and get trained on it. She tells me last night that she got a babysitter for date night this Saturday evening, and we're kicking things off at the indoor range.Which means.... time to bust out the heavy hitterCruel Intentions. Is it bad that I'm already looking forward to this magic juice from the heavens 3 days in advance? Not sure if I'm more excited to have her start shooting, or getting to wear the Kilian? Either way...

Here are 3 good choices that would serve you well. I think you could wear any of these for any occasion and smell great.

Nevermind that Allure was released in 1999, it's a classic men's scent that stands the test of time.

I LOL.. on spread fuuu i misplaced my sample of cruel intentions. That chit is good!

Under $100 but worth checking out is L'Ocittan Eau De bavx. Good tobacco frag. Of under 100 and subtle but signature worthy is Creed Royal Oud.

[x]$100+ CEO'n 10k a day
Givenchy Pi Extreme:Universally comforting and luxurious. The smoked leather and benzoin in this is literally anesthesiac. It's like being on drugs, gives you a little buzz when the note picks up.

Spicebomb Extreme:Super warm, comforting, and therapeutic. The vibe you'll get from this one is like being cremated. That's exactly how the warm gourmand-like essence leaves you feeling—like you're being kindled in a settling pile of ashes and embers. Really amazing stuff, much calmer and more composed vibe above its counterpart.

Tom Ford Noir Extreme:Semi-sweet, stylish, and magnetically appealing. Noir Extreme has some magnetism to it in the way that its sweet notes radiate. They pick up really strong, and stir up the senses a little when they do. I wouldn't put it on the level of Givenchy Pi Extreme, but it's certainly a similar effect. Noir Extreme has its own thing about it, and is more awakening than it is comforting.
