Just to inform you the liberal party has to replace previous positions in the cabinet held by Conservatives with Liberal MP's. In my opinion a Minister of Defense should've at least served in the army. I personally can't take it serious if you put someone in control over the armed forces, that has never served the army, boots on the ground.

Now in the Netherlands we have a woman as Minister of Defense, who has never served in the army. I cringe every time I think about it.
