Hey misc do you think I should get a job?
Last thing I wanna do is become a wagey but everyone around me is telling me to get a job. My parents, friends and people in wrestling. The thing is I get a chitload of money from financial aid and i never spend anything either. Ive made a lot of money since starting college without even working so why become a wagey? But another problem is since I didnt work for this money I never let myself spend it so it just piled up in the bank due to my guilt and love of money. What do you think I should do? Btw I have never had a job before in my entire life.

As someone who didn't have a job until I graduated college, I wish I would have started working in high school because I think it would have helped me develop socially/personally much earlier.
Edit: Just read your above post and sig, seems like it would help you too. The sooner you get yourself in a good place, the more you can take from life.

Also my parents really love me, sometimes my dad just gives me a $100 dollar bill for no reason at all. I dont really care for it since I dont spend it.
Sometimes I also go to help him with work so I make about $50 when I do that.

My whole life just leads up to isolation. It doesnt really take much discipline to not spend money when you have nothing to spend it on. The thing is if it costs me money then I dont desire it. Just the thought of paying for it will make me feel guilty so I would rather not have whatever it is. When all your desires are free you spend very little.

Then again, in a street fight, if there's spacing and the striker is good, you could eat some absolute bombs even trying to shoot / clinch.

OP it's always good to have some experience under your belt for after College. You can even look at part time jobs instead of hitting the full load since you are not the social type. I've heard volunteering looks amazing on a resume instead of a job. Good luck OP

But yeah too many variables and hard to define what a "good" striker and wrestler are. Its best to know both to be well rounded and not eat chit.

I spar with my wrestling friend and god damn getting double legged by a stocky wrestler dude is serious chit. I know basics ofc like sprawlin. The only thing I was thinking though, in a real fight situation (depending on how my accuracy / timing is) if a wrestler shot on my legs, they could potentially eat a massive kick / knee if I read it well. Moving is a huge factor like you said as well.
Serious my worst fear is getting grabbed by someone stronger, because i know on my feet I actually have a chance, but going to the ground (esp with someone bigger) is no joke at all.
All in all, my take down defense is very weak vs someone with any sort of grappling skills.

And yeah you are absolutely right about eating a kick or a knee while going for a double leg. I myself never really shoot in that much even when I wrestle let alone if i got in a fight. I prefer to do something like a knee pick which imo is much safer and pretty effective. Also I like to take their back and do something like a mat return if I can.

Also like I said just do whatever you find more appealing. Chances are if you ever have to use your skills it wont be against a trained fighter so anything you do whether grappling or striking will give you a huge advantage.

Im not saying Judo sucks but there are a lot more wrestling takedowns other than the double leg. Also wrestlers dont just use underhooks in the clinch. If this is your idea of wrestling then you never wrestled.
