hey guys, what are some guns you would recommend I rent out to try? I am looking for a CCW.

This would be my first purchase. I liked the feeling of the Canik. I'll go check it out next week sometime along with whatever else you guys suggest.

Thanks

Try a sig of some sort. I carry a 239 and have carried a 229. The 239 is much thinner and lighter (single stack .40), the 229 is a double stack (thicker, heavier).

Single stack 9mm . . . M&P Shield, Glock 43, Springfield XD etc. Unless you are a pretty big/tall dude, the single stack is hard to beat. Easy to conceal, a little lighter, more comfy.

Thanks, I'll take a look through those. My friends have the M&P shield and Springfield XD. Both are about my size, one is smaller and shorter, so I'll be fine. I just want to make sure I pick the best gun that I feel most comfortable with. I'll have to go alone and try them out because I take a while to decide.

Movie goers weren’t too interested in “Miss Sloane,” a film that explores the gun control debate from the perspective of a lawyer who is lobbying for universal background checks for gun ownership. Still, the film’s leading lady, Jessica Chastain, landed a Best Actress Golden Globe nomination for the poorly received flick.

The film, which premiered in select cities on Thanksgiving, hit more theaters this past weekend, and it fizzled in its wide expansion, earning $1.9 million from 1,648 locations.

According to Deadline, “Miss Sloane” cost $13 million to produce. It currently has a score of 69 percent on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.

The movie was projected to earn a paltry $5 million at the box office, according to the Los Angeles Times, but so far it’s fallen short.

I don't know if it was in that article, but if it was, you missed the best part. This movie made less money per theater than the instant classic Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace.

inb4 the broad wins a gloden globe for it just so the libtard media can get to talk about it even though it was a complete failure of concept and execution (much like the topic the movie covers)

Does anybody cavalry carry/reverse draw?

I saw a guy at the grocery store carrying in this method, i read up on it and some say its for a faster draw of your weapon, but i just understand how. Also looks like theres room for error and bad things that can happen.

You can, I ordered a few back in November and like them really well. The springs in the stock magazines went to chit on me and the only place I could find new one for the 18rd magazines were CZ Customs. They wanted $8 to ship two springs though so I went with new magazines instead.

There's one in the warehouse that is going to just go up in flames one day I'm sure of it. Can't even get these guys to clean the dust off their desk, you can imagine how bad the PC is, and I've cleaned it out a few times.
Upgrading my PC in phases over the next few weeks. Have been on my current build for about 3.5 years now, want to upgrade for better video editing performance, video games, and might do some live streaming (twitch) of games.

Doing this tonight:

(part: old -> new)
CPU: AMD FX-8350 -> Intel i7 6800k
Mobo: ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z > MSI X99A Gaming Pro Carbon
Memory: GSKILL 32GB DDR3 2133mhz > Corsair 32GB DDR4 3200mhz
CPU cooler: Phanteks ph-tc14pe > Corsair H115i

Within the next month I will do these:

(part: old -> new)
Video card: EVGA Nvidia 780 -> EVGA Nvidia 1070 or 1080 (not sure how much I want to spend yet)
Memory: an additional 32GB of Corsair DDR4 3200mhz (64GB total)
SSD: 250GB Crucial MX100 x 2 in RAID 0 -> 512GB Samsung 960 EVO M.2
Case: Corsair Air540 -> Phanteks ENTHOO EVOLV tempered glass

Then I will upgrade my monitors, currently on a 120hz 1080p 24 inch monitor that I've had for about 4 years and a 23 inch 1080p 60hz monitor that I've had for a bit more than 7 years lol. Probably will get 1 34 inch ultra wide (12:9) 1440p monitor with 75hz or 100hz, then also get a 27 inch 16:9 1440p monitor.

After that I will get some studio monitors to replace my current Pioneer tower speakers (I don't remember the model off the top of my head)

ETA:

Also going to either build a Linux NAS machine with some old PC parts that I have, or just buy an "out of the box" NAS.

I hate to break it to you, Millz . . . but there is no room in that mini fridge for beer.
Haha yeah it's an odd shaped case indeed.
Only a 700 series video card in that? Son....
Upgrading in phases, see my quoted post above. Probably going to go with a 1070, not sure if I need to spend the extra $ for a 1080 for the games that I play. That being said... for these upgrades I've gone from mild mannered to "**** it I'm all in", so I'll probably get the 1080.

ETA:
That 780 was the flag ship Nvidia card (sans Titan) at the time I bought it, I think it was about $700. It has been a great card, still is, so I'll probably get the 1080 indeed as over the course of time I think it's the best value.
Millz... thats one weird looking gun safe.
Trump won so I have shifted my hobby spending priorities to "maintenance" for firearms, so basically just about 1000rds of 9mm/month (about what I shoot each month), for the next few months then I have some firearms related purchases after that.
Not sheriff Millz is trolling or not. Where's the dust? Every workstation I have to move at work is filled with dust and gets me sick (sinus infection). EVERY TIME!!!
The "before" picture is actually taken after I started taking it apart and had used an air compressor to clean it out. After doing that, I remembered "Oh yeah, take a before picture". It wasbadbefore I cleaned it out. GSD in the house and the case has been on the ground.

I'm going to get the Phanteks ENTHOO EVOLV tempered glass case next and put it up on a shelf/table/off-the-ground. I'm going to build a "floating desk" (anchored to wall cleats) in my office to have some more desk space, currently on a ****ty folding table lmao.

They just performed an audit on our web filter and blacklisted the entire shopping category aside from a few vendors that we use at work. Needless to say none of us here in IT are very popular right now.

Ask her if she realizes that's not how the faucet works.
We just opened up the web filter, limiting only known malicious websites and pinterest (because fuk pinterest). Managers were bitching up a storm about people wasting time after we did that. My boss's response: "sounds like a people problem"

He also said he was going to throat punch a vendor last week when they messed up an order. I kind of like this guy.
