Brb.... all these "hardcore" *******s do is pick a up weight and set it down, then take a 5 min break and repeat. It is not "hardcore." The only "hardcore" thing about this dumb trend is the amount ofcringeI have to endure on a daily basis listening to this crap

99% of the people in gyms don't even break a sweat while in the gym. I'm always bewildered because I seem to be the only one actually putting in work while everyone is on their phone taking 20 min breaks or talking in the squat rack for hours at a time. (Except for the hot girl with an insane squat booty that I have a crush on)
I sit around talking to people or playing on my phone for 20 minutes between sets sometimes, but I'm also sweaty as fuk after every workout. Most importantly, though, I'm the strongest guy at the gym.
PRs:
Squat: 630 (sleeves)
Deadlift: 735 (straps)
Strict OHP: 330
Log Clean & Press: 360
Gave stickyashell hope and now he's back in strength sports crew

I agree that it's really cringey...
I avoid it to avoid cringing and needing to bitch about it...
But I'm here commenting on your thread about it...
What am I even doing with my life...

I admire the dedication by pro bodybuilders who are world class

The "gurus" however are mainly martyrs who should be celebrating their opportunity and life of luxury not acting like they're climbing Everest with no oxygen tank

So many girls I know became cookie cutter IG "fitness models" and put some cheesy ass motivational quote next to each pic.

Bitch, you're not trying to motivate anyone... you're just posting an ass pic for attention. Who the fuk do they think they are fooling???

"It never eases to amaze me how even the slightest hint of success at training - fundamentally defined by the ability to perform a simple action repeatedly and reap basically guaranteed results - instantly turns so many people into self-obsessed douchebags. They clearly conflate success with repeating that simple action with intellectual, spiritual and philosophical competence as well. Given the opposite is obviously true at rates higher than chance, it follows that this is a reaction or self-protection mechanism to soothe the fact they intuitively grasp that what they achieve, while powerful and transformative, is dwarfed by many fields of human endeavor in terms of how it reflects on the core competencies of that person. Hence the poppycock bravado that seems apart from physical changes, they become mystics and sages and benevolent dispensers of life advice. It's a compensation for the fact their passion, as fundamentally positive as it is, clearly defines them as none of those things." -Condyle

I'll do what the fcuk I want. This s*** empowers you. It carries over and makes you want to succeed in all other areas of life.

Easy to sit back and ridicule people trying to achieve something. A wise man once said, "haters gonna hate".

It really is annoying how seriously this chit is taken. Put that focus into a sport, preferably a combat sport, something that is genuinely hard to do and tests you more as a human.

Personally I find it hilarious

Looking at sloots and dudes who think they're saving the world by lifting some weights lmao

Can't knock that they're making bank off it...that's business

I even find it hilarious interacting with them, some of them are so stuck up their own ass they legit think they descended from the aesthetic heavens or some chit

Lol, in a way it doesn't bother me cause I thrive in the gym and it's like watching a circus show lol

The motivational quote on top of some gym pic is so cliche, cringe, and copy-paste pasta that I can only lol in amusement...what else is there to say
You're a speck of organic dust in the vast cosmos of the Universe

Get out there and be a sick Immanuel Kant
