I know right ... it's like go to the gym for whatever your reason may be (health, aesthetic, sport specific) it's all good but stfu about it afterwards.

Going to the gym consistently for years is not impressive in the slightest and people make it seem like some amazing feat like it's equivalent to getting a graduate degree or doing well at a good job. No you literally go to a location pick up heavy things and put them down LMAO ... I know aesthetic guys that wouldn't last a day doing hard physical labour or have the perseistence to complete a professional designation. Bunch of low iq plebs who equate lifting with being some massive feat.

Although I do admire the business prowess of those fitness "celebrities" who capitalize on this.

Come to think of it the biggest idiots I know irl have this mentality.

Couldn't see anyone who has it together posting cringe workout pics with the caption "grind" or "hustle."

Gonna troll Instagram and aware these guys that they are literally picking up a weight and putting it back down. I don't think they are aware of this.

I'm on my lunch break having a chicken slouvlaki dinner.

Going to take a picture and post on Instagram and tag it with the following #gains #motivation # fitness #hustle ... and act like I'm fuking sweet because I can order a 10 dollar chicken meal.

Gonna go home later and take a picture of 10 pre prepped meals in freezer bags and act like I've just pulled a tour of duty overseas.

Ok should I make a YouTube video?

It'll start in the office and I'll record my coworkers asking me if I want to grab a bite to eat. I'll look at them and say "I'm good, gonna catch up on some stuff over lunch" .... it'll than be a 1 hour video of me sitting there staring at a screen with that black guy speaking and maybe some lord of the rings type music in the background.

This would be actually more impressive than some douche in the gym bench pressing lol

The type of people that are motivated by videos like this are prob the type of people that will stop going to the gym after going for a week or two. But that's better than nothing, I guess.

Steve Cook was a college athlete. Not all the youtube fitness people are just average fit though it seems a good amount of them are. I respect the pro bodybuilders more because they competed and are training and dieting at a pro level though.

The fitness industry is just cringeworthy period.
brb People equating a 45 min workout to storming the beaches in Normandy.
brb gotta have the latest fitness gear, brb matching outfits with the mandatory hat or hoodie.

posted in a similar thread but...

the thing i find the most cringe about this is the pretentious nature of all these #fitfam people have, just cause they lift, they now think they work harder, have more wisdom, better time management, and are entitled more than a regular person, they literally think they're better at everything including unrelated chit like giving life advice.... all because they lift weights, just lollll... no, lifting weights does not make you better than the rest, it's a hobby, no one is forcing you to do it, you choose to do it... and even in the gym, your workout is not more important than the next (even if they are just starting) so stop tryna act like you own the place

and let's be real, doesn't matter male/female, idc how strong or shredded you are, if you're not an actual good oly weightlifter, contest prepping for a show, or elite level powerlifting... working out is not fukking hard, it's very manageable and doable regardless of goals, people who act like they're grinding for lyfe cause they gym every week are beyond cringe

went to a city uni and gym is packed with fitness 'models' from all over the country, latest gym leggings, tanks, wraps, belts, shoes, straps, etc... literally a fashion show, a lot of them are chill socially but 99% of them share one thing in common, the pretentious and entitled nature that reeks out here and there, they can try to act humble all they want but you can't hide your true nature
*Hide in my car on friday nights so my doge thinks I have a social life*

This just triggered me, especially when they put a filter on the photo too so it's "artistic"

Steve Cook's videos have been **** lately. He's the only fitness personality I'm subscribed to on YouTube, but I'm strongly rethinking that right about now. At least someone like Matt Ogus, for instance, as narcissistic as he is, drops serious knowledge in his videos.

Steve Cook played D3 at Dixie State which is a terrible team, on par with the low-tier uncompetitive CIS teams in Canada. Hardly what comes into mind when college athlete is mentioned. Just LOL at him acting like he could've made it to the NFL on his recent videos, the skill and athleticism difference between his team and the upper tier teams is huge.
