OP: I doubt your going to read this, I didn't read the replies but this is what I think:
It all comes down to if it's worth it to you or not. It's all about the the money, and if the money isn't worth what you are going through, you are cheating yourself. I've been in situations where I didn't want to quit, but then again, I didn't want to go through with what I was dealing with for the pay I was getting.

Only problem I see is that OP txted his boss to avoid getting his ass chewed out. This is a character building move. The future will present him with more of these problems and today he chose to duck out like a bish because he allowed someone else's attitude dictate his own behavior. That is sad. It's about having fortitude and not allowing someone else to determine how you're going to conduct yourself: unprofessionally in this context.
That he wanted to walk out on a job that proved more than he could handle is whatever. To slink away because he allowed another man's bad temper to degrade his integrity is a much more far flung character flaw.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

Ended leaving on my own accord and tried some other types of jobs, now I'm happy where I am.

The cold wasn't the problem, it was your clothes.
If you're gonna stick around, get leather gloves and waterproof work boots. You'll pay it off with one day of work and it's gravy from there.
Or go somewhere else if you don't like it.
All the sht about you freezing and your feelings, is what is drawing the reaction from the misc. It's a problem, solve it, move on.
