It's been a while MFC bro's. I need some advice on a repair I'm doing for my brother in law. He purchased an S&W Sport 2 a while back and decided to add a BCM KMR. When he installed the low profile gas block, he neglected to use thread lock or secure the set screws... This is the result after a few FTF's:

The bolt carrier key deformed and will no longer seat on the gas tube (which I also replaced).

I will be dimpling the barrel today with my jig from Rainier Arms. My question is if I should dimple the barrel where the A2 front sight was pinned, or just use thread lock?

Finally, some pics of my finished lower from my .300 Blackout SBR build. How big of a ******* am I for the gold Strike Industries takedown pins?

I posted a while back for the B5 Sopmod Enhanced stocks for $49.95 from botach, got mine today and it's legit.
https://www.botach.com/b5-systems-sopmod-stocks/
just choose a color.
Seriously the best price and it's not even close for anyone in the market for one.

USPSA results today:
5/14 Production.
45/82 overall. 6 of those 82 were Grand Master, and 54 of the 82 were shooting either: Pistol Caliber Carbine, Open, Limited, or Carry Optics.
I feel that I had an all around solid match, but made a couple of mistakes that cost me about 5 or 6 seconds of time; had I not made those mistakes I think I would've placed 3rd.
Just need to shore up a few mistakes and shoot a bit faster while maintaining accuracy. If I shoot just 1.5 seconds faster on each of those stages, that would've been 7.5 seconds off (5 stages total).
Going to be shooting another USPSA match tomorrow morning.

Life passes most people by while they're making grand plans for it. Throughout my lifetime, I've left pieces of my heart here and there. And now, there's almost not enough to stay alive. But I force a smile, knowing that my ambition far exceeded my talent. There are no more white horses or pretty ladies at my door.
