Lmao @ the BS Whey Protein industry
me and my friend were arguing about how important protein was for getting gains, i was trying to tell him that whey protein is BS and is only for people that don't have time to cook their own meals
he says that if you want to get big, you HAVE to consume whey protein for extra protein
it's amazing how brainwashed people are into thinking that whey protein is this magical supplement that is going to give you gains, when they don't understand the simple concept of macronutrients. all whey protein is is a chemical substitute for protein, which you should be consuming through whole foods like beans, meat, and nuts.
i understand if you need whey protein on-the-go if you don't have time to cook all the time, but if you think its ESSENTIAL to have a good body then just LMAO @ YOU
also I was telling him how you only need about .8g protein/1 lb of bodyweight but so many people think you need to take 1.5g+/1lb of bodyweight... just lmao
then he disregard everything i said and just said "thanks for reminding me, i gotta take my whey protein for the day" just lmao...

protein is protein but getting adequate amount is not easy and no one wants to eat
eggs and chicken breast all the time.
so supplementing with whey is a smart way to go.
EDIT: and what do you mean by whey is a chemical substitute for protein?
whey is as natural as "real food" lmao

I think 0.8g per pound of lean body weight is good. So most bros only need like 130-200g a day

No pro has specifically said this.. But they have said it without saying it, beat around the bush about it, etc. Rich Piana is pretty candid about it saying always choose real food when available. A few pros have had the balls to come out and admit they only drink whey when food isnt available even when the supps company sponsors them.

You guys want to believe so badly
Sorry to burst your bubble but that one guy you know who swears by shakes is part of the 3cc crew.. And would look a lot better if those shakes were chicken and rice meals.

whey protein is less likely to cause cancer/disease than meats. it has nothing to do with the supplement industry, it will be shorter lives for some body that intentionally eats a diet of 80% meats. the only fabrication about whey protein is that it is a whole protein which it is not.

The recommendations for protein are actually 0.8 g. per kg. of bodyweight in sedentary individuals, and 1.2 - 1.6 per kg. in extremely active, athletic populations. The majority of you probably exceed those numbers just by consuming a normal, balanced diet. LOL at wasting your money on worthless protein supplements.
