The Gen4 is a nice little upgrade. Better grip, adjustable grip size, better mag release. Tweaks or slight enhancements more than actual change, though.

Gen III RTF is my favorite frame personally.
I think the proposed gen 5 finger grove removal and ambidextrous release are solid changes that most people will like.

New Knife
Spyderco Para Military 2 in S110V

4ea pic because my old phone sucks and apparently the lense is grimy

I've mostly carried a Spyderco Military since, I'm not sure when, at least 6 years ago maybe 8 years ago, the scales on the G10 handle are worn completely smooth on the 'inside' (while clipped to pocket), I didn't really notice it until I got this new one and the difference is amazing. Nothing wrong with the old one, but this has better steel, non-worn grip, compression lock, and a 4 way adjustable pocket clip (tip up carry FTW)

I haven't messed with the VP9 grip panels/backstrap yet . . . can you mix sizes? So can you have a Med back strap but SM grip panels? Or does Med have to go with Med, etc?

I know about the recall on the Eotech but do not think I will ever be shooting in any of the harsh climates.
Handled both at the store and like the field of view more with the Eotech and the settings on the side with this model. I liked the glass on the MRO and all the settings positions on the optic. Not sure about the field of view. To me it was still not as good as the eotech. Will be mounting this for use at a indoor range and outdoor once in a while (max 200-300 yards if that). Am I over thinking pulling the trigger on the Eotech? Is there anything that I should look over on either again?
thanks

If you intend to leave your red dot on, don't get an EOTech. It doesn't sound like you plan on doing that, so get an EOTech if that's what you want.
