From what I remember about FLL airport you can park in front of baggage claim or the parking lot, and walk in the sliding doors fairly easily. There is a lot of security but they don't stop people from going in.

My GF would routinely pick me up in at baggage claim when I came back from visiting PA.

Lmao strong security.

No guns should be in civilian hands in airports or on planes.

If someone "checks a gun in" it should be taken and put in a locked box in cargo. Not with the owner

Spain has been targeted by terrorists, and Spain is one of the few countries in Europe that arms EVERY street cop. Even private bank security, and mall cops have guns in Spain.

Seems like the controlling factors for their lack of mass shootings compared to say Paris, is the amount of guns, or lesser number or Muslims

You can take firearms with you into the airport, but you have to check them in, and they need to be locked in a TSA approved case. They also don't go to baggage claim when unloaded. You have to pick them up at a special service desk.

EDIT: Not sure about a small handgun safe that fits in a suitcase however, I transported rifles before on airplanes.

However, nothing stops a person from walking into an airport with a firearm in their waist. You wouldn't get caught until you got to the metal detectors when entering the terminals.

You can't fly with ammo though??

UPS can't even airmail it on their private cargo planes per FAA restrictions

****ty to admit though, one time I cleaned out my cupholder before parking at the airport and pocketed 5 .223 rounds to toss in the trash or put in the console. Forgot about them, set off he detectors at security but got waived through.

Felt them in my pocket after getting through security, almost vomited in a panic. Immediately went to a bathroom stall and flushed the bullets down the toilet. TSA is just awful at their job

I had no idea, I've been there a few times and never really see guns not even pistols I was just shocked to see it at the airport. Every room you went into had at least 8 heavily armed men in there, stood strategically and walking about looking at ya

I've seen armed Police in the UK carrying the same kind of guns just on the street but 2 cops at a time only and they were walking from somewhere to somewhere else, never patrolling

Interdasting.

Tsa is actually pretty bad at doing what they do. It's a low paying job, i feel like they hire anybody. It's more of a process to make fliers feel safe.

You flushed ammo down the toilet? I don't think the physics behind that story checks out. I'm pretty sure your ammo would've just sat at the bottom of the toilet.

It was a high flow public toilet, made a sketchy clunk noise and I did 2 at first then 3 the second flush. True story, no reason to bullchit something so uneventful

I always fly with a firearm, you check it in at the counter, they inspect it, and you personally walk it to a screening area for TSA to scan your bag, However it goes thru baggage claim just like every other bag and you can easily load up in the restroom. I usually load up once I get into my vehicle.

Yes you can, it has to be in the original manufacturer box and not in the same locked case as the gun.
