Fellow white brahs, why does the media look down on us? (No race war thread, srs)

First of all, this is a serious topic bros. I am not race baiting/bashing or anything political like that. This is just an observation of growing up as a white dude in America.


For as long as I can remember, the media has painted white guys as geeky, uncoordinated goofballs that can't be taken seriously, and aren't deserving of respect as men. I just don't understand it.

Contrast that to real life, where some basic truths become evident for white guys (at least in my experience):


1. If you are even an average looking white guy but well spoken and sincere, people immediately take you seriously and respect you.

2. If you are mature and well-adjusted in most situations as a white man, both women and men of other races gravitate towards you in group settings, and automatically look to you for leadership.

3. Any young decent looking white guy who is mature, confident, and sincere in a business environment instantly commands the respect of his peers.

4. All political correctness aside (equal opportunity, benefits to minorities, etc), white men in work settings are given priority on opportunities for advancement, leadership, and salary increases.

5. All women love white men because of their perceived ability to provide well financially, be faithful and committed in relationships, and generally have their life very well put together in a deliberate way.


So where does all the hate come from?

Its stuff like this that gives white males a bad rep and sets the precedent to make fun of us:



If someone made a video like this about other races, there would be an outcry of racism.

Look on the internet and look at the misc. White males have this superiority complex. They are the best at everything. They are the best looking. Women of other races want them more than their own. Some miscer even took time out of his day to create an online dating chart.

Until I ran into the misc, I never heard of this 'totem pole'. White men laugh at blacks, Asians, Mexicans, and Indians all the time.


At the end of the day, I honestly don't care because it doesn't effect me.

The media portrays every race with some typical bullchit. Right now it is more in to just bash on white guys. It is acceptable to bash white men openly while doing the same thing to other races/genders/etc would get major backlash.

You can make fun of white people, OP. It's only racist when it offends someone that's not white. I'm pretty surprised how the media has covered the 4 blacks that kidnapped the handicap white. Of course, it's no Mike Brown and definitely not Obama's son, but they're still at least mentioning race. I'm sure it's like pulling teeth for them.
