It's just most of them also happen to be scumbags or liberal *******s.

And compare that to the poorest people of society who are literally eating rats and dogs while the poorest people in the western world are often overweight and have access to welfare/shelters/charity.
These distributions are completely natural and occur in many places:

Although this effect can be mitigated through things like regulating the FIRE industries, a land value tax and tariffs, it will on some level always exist.

While they do have extreme wealth, I think one of the more significant topics that could be brought up from this fact is the fact that so many countries around the world are set up so poorly they can't provide a decent lifestyle.
As in, why is there much poverty around the world? It's government structure and corruption. It's not these 8 guys. Stats can seem deceiving.
Almost any one of you in this thread who live in the US are probably more rich than the worlds bottom 500 million people combined. That makes it sound like you're extremely greedy and should spread your wealth right? No, it's because there are 7 billion people on this planet and most countries aren't put together well.

Itt people who know nothing about economic growth, innovation and scaling up
No biggie. Just know that we would all still be living in caves if everyone throughout history thought like you.
Also their estimated NET WORTH is billions. that means the companies they own are estimated to be worth those billions of dollars, not that they have billions of dollars in cash. if they decided to sell all their shares in their companies they would maybe have that money

can someone explain to me where the tycoon's of america's money went?
they monopolized like every industry.
the 8 or so families had a stranglehold on everything.
what im saying is, its like now how its so hard to get started. people at the top not only want to stay at the top, but want to keep you from attaining the top.
so, did they really let all of these people usurp them in wealth?
if you're controlling the jobs and you have no choice but to be hired by them for the aforementioned reasons (they got into ground level before you) did they really just let their money disappear?

First, off there is no indicator anywhere in this report that the wealth of the worlds eight wealthiest men was ill-gotten. There is no record of them enslaving people or robbing banks or burning down businesses. The reason these people are rich is because they have founded businesses that created better products and services and engaged in more consensual transactions then any other people on planet earth. Microsoft currently employees more than 100,000 people. Microsoft employees have given more than 1 billion dollars to charities. Microsoft products have made millions of lives easier and better and millions of businesses cheaper to run. The same is true for amazon, ********, etc.. where exactly is the great sin? The implication seems to be that wealth belongs to the collective and we must therefore reallocate it, but these rich people arent prospering at the expense of others. Since 1981 the global extreme poverty rate has been sliced in half. Meanwhile from 1979 to 2014 the upper midclass in America grew from 12% of the population to 30% of the population. Americas poor are doing better than the middle class of most places on earth thanks to free market economics. Heres what pew research said in 2015. The US stands head and shoulders above the rest of the world more than half, 56% of Americans were high income by the global standard. More than 32% were upper middle income, in other words almost 9/10 of Americans had a standard of living that was above the global middle income standard. Only 7% of the people in the united states were middle income, 3% low income and 2% poor. The reason investors make more profits than those who do the work is because the investor takes the risk necessary in order to create a profit margin with which to pay those people.

lol guys If you dont understand basic economics and being jealous pricks. This people are the epitome of human success and have insanely above average genes and life experiences to guide them winning and winning and winning . No one wants to invest in poor , uneducated , lazy and dump people. There is a reason why the underclass , working class and working poor are what they are.
Anyone can become a millionaire propable even a billionaire the problem is are you good enough? Do you have what it takes to keep winning ?
Imagine being the n1 bodybuilder , the n1 footballer ... now imagine you are the n1 financial genious that can create revolutionary products or buy the best stocks like a boss.
