Same **** happened to me...Omegle. Met "girl". She told me to skype with "her". Once on skype, I found out it was a guy and that he was blackmailing me. He showed me the recorded video of my big, beautiful manhood. He then showed me a list of my contacts on ******** and threatened to send the video to all my contacts.

My heart dropped, and I was scared as sh!t...

What I did:

- Deleted my ******** account for about a month
- Deleted my Skype
- Didn't pay any money

Never heard about it again.

They say that if you pay these scammers, that they will just keep asking you for more money. And if you threaten to report them to the police, they will counter your threat with telling you that they are underage and they will report you.

Sooo....

Best bet, just don't pay and wait it out. Worst case scenario, your friends and family know your big "secret" which is that you jerk off...big deal...so does everyone else.

The scam works because your skype name is usually your real name...once they have that, they do a search on ******** and find you...then they send you a list of all your contacts to make you even more scared.

i would have handled it diff completely. Your first mistake was responding. A NC from the get go would have made em give up immediately. Your second mistake was showing you care about the video surfacing. You gave him leverage.

At this point, you should just stop responding. Even if he threatens to do it. Literally just never respond and he'll move on.

Actually OP this isn't a bad idea, straight forward, and saying you've warned your friends and family you're being black mailed and to possibly expect some video to show up. I feel like it he believes that it'll take the whole sting out of it, at that point, why bother.

This is best case scenario of course.

I dealt with something like this a few years ago. I had a guy call me and say I owed money for calling a phone sex hotline. told the guy it wasn't me, said he had a recording of me but never played the recording. called my sister, parents, and grandmother trying to get money out of us. even sent "bills" from a company called spectrum to my house. told him to fuk off and I contacted a lawyer and that he would contact them. didn't call for 2 weeks called 1 last time then stopped. went on for about 2 months.

The last message this person sent me was "Are you there?". This is now one hour and 10 minutes ago. I have still not answered

So heres a few options I have:

- Block this person on skype and whatsapp, go completely no contact
- Block this person, but send one last message saying Im sorry, but I dont have any money, Im a poor student. Better luck scamming someone else, have a good day.
- Try to get the ip address of this person by making him click a dead link
- Get details on where and whom Im gonna pay, and hopefully find out more from that info

- Threaten this person saying I know hackers that will ruin your life
- Tell him I will commit suicide if he posts it and then go no contact
- Call the police, who will probably do nothing
- Tell him he is breaking islamic law and committing adultery if he does live in Morocco

This person said I have to pay today and I doubt the popo would get anything done that quick.

Which option is best? Or should I just wait till he sends me any more msg before I do anything?
