A few friends of mine and I had a similar discussion when we spent a night catching up(hadn't seen each other for a while). Me and my one friend agreed that if a woman is on Tinder or a dating app in her mid to late 30's that should be a red flag. Where as with guys, it is a little different. Maybe that is a little sexist, but if you are a woman in your 30's and you are not dating or married, something has to be off because there are TONS of options out there for woman. Even easier now with these apps. Sign up at 26 and you can be married by 30.

She has a very long list of requirements in a man, plus she's an introvert. She always stated that she would never "settle" or else she would be miserable. I think she's missed the boat to have children since she's 35 now. First you have to date, and then you have to date that one person for a long time, and then you become a fianc, and finally you get married. All this will take longer then 5 years if she meets the right man very soon. However, it's not even on the horizon. She will grow old and lonely, but it's her own fault.

None of this will take five years once she decides to follow through. The number of women I've known who were riding the cock carousel into the ground and then suddenly met Mr. Right and lied their way to glory in 6-12 months is shocking. But even then, you just never know what biology will throw at you.

Regardless, that "very long list of requirements" probably translates roughly to "anxiety-ridden control freak".
