Strong paranoia ITT. Unless you live in a third world country or the ghetto you don't need to do this chit. Don't walk down dark ass alleyways at 2am and you'll be fine. But thats just common fukking sense.
Once had an ex friend who started telling me about this bullchit. But this was the same girl who also told me that she never truly felt safe around me because I am a man. Despite the fact that we grew up together.
Can't imagine living in fear because you think everyone is out to get you. Like this is some jungle with rapists and murderers lurking in the shadows like tigers.

i almost never do, i'm only carefull if i'm in a bad neighborhood at night, but being afraid to check your phone and watching around you constently in the middle of the day is sad
but i see a lot of girls who seems to be scared at night and it's awkward when i walk behind them and they speed up... feels bad to be taken for a rapist when you're just walking home

We do this dog walk thing on Sundays where you bring your dog(s) and walk with other people, supposed to socialise dogs.
On one walk I was casually walking down a narrow path in line when some woman barged me out of the way to get past, thought "how rude" but didn't react, didn't even give her a foul look. So I carry on walking, behind her now, at the same pace. The whole time from then 'till the end of the walk she is looking over her shoulder at me, clearly uncomfortable.
At the end of the walk I saw her scowling at me and whispering to some of the other women, who then gave me disapproving looks.
Now process that sequence of events.
1. Man minding own business walking dog.
2. Woman barges him out of her way to get past.
3. Woman spends whole walk looking over shoulder, making a big point that she feels uncomfortable now with man who she overtook behind her.

honestly sometimes check behind my back cuz when I come back from the gym at night and walk to my car.
I park like 100 yards away from the gym cuz free parking spot and walk thru some non lighted parts where a lot of homeless people hang around.
only started doing this because there were reports of two robberies around this area in da newspaper some time ago. don't have any money on me but safe is safe.

I went to college in one of the top 5 most dangerous parts of the country. Young white girls be out drunk wandering the streets alone at night in the hood screaming, yelling, etc in mini skirts. Then wanna come and complain they dont feel safe, etc.
Its another grab for attention. I knew more males that got robbed or assaulted than females.

It's always the nastiest butch looking ones that openly talk about that kind of chit. Like any self respecting man would even have sex with you normally much less try to rape you. Talk about wishful thinking.

Case in point: I had a pair of actual hookers attack me in a casino carpark because I rejected their proposition in what they believed was a condescending way. Was kind of like the scene from the beginning of Robocop 2, minus the robbing. A pair of stilletos is a dangerous weapon if they know how to use them. I couldnt hit them back because there were other people nearby...who would have thought I was attacking some helpless women and sided against me.

Yeah, that makes much more sense than being safe in the first place.

I get worried about this too, only because I'm a small target and perceived to be weak, so I do carry a pocket knife and be aware of my surroundings.
