Cabelas is also going to have DPMS AR10 for $750 starting next Wed. Seems like a decent price for a "budget" 10.

From what I've seen, the DPMS 10 is good to go. I may be a bit senile.

I picked up one of their .223 oracle models in Dec for $499 (had points and coupon so it was around $300 actual cost) as a beater, red dot short range type rifle, haven't got a chance to shoot it yet but it seems okay in terms of the parts fitment. I don't NEED a 10 because I usually shoot bolt guns for long range, but for that price it makes me want to add one.

It's called DPMS Oracle Enhanced AR-10


I cleaned and hand lapped the .223 with iosso paste and it was smooth from the start. Most reviews I read said they were good shooters. Could always order a Crieger, Cryterion, etc and a new trigger, but they seem to make a decent bbl. it is the softer alloy in their .223 bbl, can't remember the numbers but a step down from some others.

We still hating on the 320 now that the army bought it? Blah blah bore axis...?

I missed most of that discussion. Though I will be honest, as much as I love my 320 I'm quite fond of the VP9. No experience with the PPQ. Recently decided to give appendix carry and try and I think that will be my full time carry method. I have done everything from IWB to pocket holsters and have to admit the appendix setup has been the most comfortable for a compact size firearm. I can comfortably carry my 320c with near minimal printing and it doesn't dig when I'm driving.
