Loved this movie. First time I watched it my parents came over in the middle of it. My dad sat down and this scene started. He was like "WTF?".

Mornin crew... long time no MFC

Mirin you guys who have the patience and skill to make complex dinners. >90% of the meals I eat are just heating some sort of meat and some sort of vegetable.

I did get pretty exotic and manage to make some bone broth last night. How long do I have to wait for the 10lbs of lean muscle gain and superhuman immunity to kick in?

I haven't won a single raffle I've entered - somehow it's always the doctors and lawyers and people that donate the most money. almost like they aren't blindly drawing the tickets........

Guys thoughts on this AR?? It was 529 or 549.99 but on sale for 379.99 now. I don't have an AR yet and supposedly I've read nothing but good reviews on it

I would say no go. You can get forged upper and lower for not that much more. Don't buy a polymer AR at this point. If you need a cheaper style option check out the S&W M&P 15 Sport 2 or an Aero Precision AC-15

That would be so freakin awesome, but that price per round... ouch. Plus you'd almost be obligated to drop at least 3k on glass.

You dang near have to be able to afford the gun to be able to afford to shoot it.

It'd be like winning a sports car then realizing you only get 7mph and you have to pay a few hundred bucks for every oil change.

Would still be freakin pumped to have that in my collection. Being able to share that with friends would make you a god at the range.

Hit up the range on Saturday and the week before on Sunday. Both trips I had some 9mm ZQI that had some misfired primers. In a couple different handguns. Only have a box left, but won't ever be buying that again... actually I don't even see it in stores anymore.

Nothanksgeoffrey.

If it's a budget thing, save for a bit longer and get into a decent aluminum upper & lower from a known/trusted brand. You can save some $$ by going with a blem lower (like PSA) and then building it yourself . . . it's not hard at all. Plenty of YT sources. Then you can get a decent upper from somewhere. Or there are still pretty good deals out there on full rofls that I would go with long before that one.

Polymer lowers . . . maybe. I'm not a fan. Polymer upper? Nopenopenopeoctopus.gif

I had no idea polymer uppers where a thing. Wow. I mean, an alum one is cheap as it is, what in the world would posses someone to make a poly one to literally save pennies.
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.

I won't get it then. I don't really work much, I have a small amount saved and I should be fine to finish and get through grad school. I won't be at 0 dollars obviously if I buy this or another more expensive AR. I really don't know what to look for in one and I haven't even shot one yet but it seems to be an amazing firearm. I feel like it's been hyped to me just as much as the glock 19 has been, but I do understand this is a whole different type of firearm so I am definitely inclined to go after this one. I still chose to get the canik before the G19. I am happy with the Canik honestly. I'll definitely still try out the glock and see how it is, if I ever see that one PSA deal for G19 again though, I will fly over there pick it up and walk back to Chicago with it. notsosrs

Holster says it was delivered today (a day early). Cant wait to see how it feels.

(Hidden Hybrid Holster XDs-9)

Currently in a raffle for a DS Arms Patrol Model AR, only cost $10 and helps raise money for St Baldricks through the Chicago PD hockey team. Would be awesome to win my first AR, but going to a good cause either way so whatever.

We started doing gun raffles about 6-7 months ago. 100 tickets at $10 each. Funds go to the unit NCO fund. Usually 3rd place is $50 cash, 2nd $100 cash and first is the gun.

Got second prize once before. First time winning the gun. I was also drawn for 3rd place. People were mad. lol
