Mine makes my face seem longer as I have a round head, mine is not a pretty boy beard though, it is long and curly.

My beard is for cultural reasons to promote pre-Anglo Gaelic trends, it was un-noble for a man to not have facial hair in pre 1600s Ireland and Scotland.
