Unofficial list of most painful things to endure in no particular rank:

ruptured appendix
broken femur
kidney stones
child birth

I've done the kidney stones and ruptured appendix. The appendix is far worse.
I was given morphine for the stones and felt instant bliss. For the appendix rupture, morphine just made it bearable.

A paralegal I used to work with had both kidney stones and a couple of kids. She said the pain was about equal.

I also have a buddy who snapped his femur in a mtb crash. He said morphine just took the edge off the pain.

BRB adding migraine to that list. Imitrex Crew.

Or if you're watching a hallway/doorway and an officer needs to walk in front of you (or just does, because dumb), you need to put your gun down and can't illuminate the hallway anymore so you don't know what's happening there anymore. I believe this happens in the video posted. PD's are very picky with who you can/can't point your gun at. Obviously, lots of cops have weapon mounted lights and use them just like you suggest, but training doctrine is normally against that, which is why departments don't issue them or the holsters for them and not all officers will spend the $400-500 for holster+light. I don't necessarily agree with these policies but it is what it is. I obviously have a weapon mounted light and use it.

And yeah AR training is pretty sad. I've heard of departments that bring new officers to a range and basically say "This is an AR, this is how you reload, this is how you shoot, have fun with these 100 rounds, now you're trained!". My PD had 3 days of training which is basically unheard of, but it was basically just a dragged out version of the above with a little moving and shooting and a few up down/failure/etc drills. Also, I wasn't allowed to use an AR at my department the first 6 months I was on because I didn't attend the training yet because it was 3 days and they needed to wait until they got enough new officers to attend the training and make it worth it.

Can't speak for SWAT guys since I never actively participated in their training directly, but unless you're on LAPD SWAT or another big time agency that has a full time SWAT team, local SWAT teams mostly get minimal training a couple days a month because all the officers have to work their full time patrol shifts as well.
Got that, I'm talking about a specific scenario like in the video where they are clearly searching and clearing it. If they came upon someone there, they'd still point their weapons at them until they determined he wasn't a threat/detained them/whatever.

I don't have any police experience so I don't know what I'm talking about, it just doesn't make much sense to me. Can't imagine why someone would walk in front of you if you're covering a door/hall/stairs, and if they did, they'd cover it while crossing the danger area. Just applying my training to this, but like I said, it doesn't necessarily translate and I don't know chit. It would literally have prevented this dude from shooting himself and all cops would be more accurate with two hands on their weapons.

Jesus that sounds terrible with AR related training.

This fukking thing is half the reason I sold my house in May after only living in it for a year. Had over 15 full grown sweetgums and they just would not stop throwing these all over the place. They don't burn in a compost heap, they don't disintegrate over time, and they are almost impossible to rake up or even chop up with my John Deere D135. Local botanist wanted $200 per tree to castrate them so they don't produce any more. He has like a 2 day window per year to inject the trees to neuter them, and if he gets it wrong, no refund.

I use ON vanilla ice cream if I'm blending it with something. Not a strong enough taste to overpower, though the new version of it does have a stronger vanilla taste.

I buy a two pound tub of whatever I want to try if I'm just making a quick shake. Mocha is good, I've got cookies n cream right now and it's not bad.

BRB buying protein based on nothing more than protein % by mass, even if the #1 top scorer gets a 61/100 for meeting label claims.

I mean, you do realize that something like meeting label claims doesn't even factor into that score, right? Price and taste dont factor in either, I mean, c'mom, just lol

Found out I was allergic to morphine after waking up from surgery for putting a rod and 3 screws in my leg (broke fibula & tibia 6 inches above ankle). I think they started non opioid based and as I was coming to it was the worst pain in my life. So they start a drip and try explaining I can only hit the button once every 10 minutes. If you hit it a 2nd time it locks requests out for 1 hour. Don't remember that last bit of information, just being in extreme pain for an hour. They then dropped it to 7 minutes and explained to my parents (who obviously were not coming out of anesthesia).

Managed to stay awake to press it 21 minutes later (3 times). A few minutes after that I apparently projectile vomited across the room and I can't remember what they switched me to after that. And people wonder why the media trust is at an all time low.
